It’s been a while since I last had a meal at Paul, so it was about time to rejoice 🥗. I came on the first day of Eid, thinking no one will be in Oman Mall, & definitely none at Paul, I was dead wrong! The place was full of people! Waiter managed to seat me & it was not long before I ordered my choice from the menu. I had a light meal of traditional French onion soup (one of my favorites) and Halloumi Pesto (my top pick in the cheese category 🧀) First off, bread basket with nice mix of warm multi-cereal PP, brown & white & french patty bread along with mixed green & black olive dip & butter. Then came the soup with its distinctive aroma, but alas, they ran out of bread so had it in a ceramic bowl! & No, it is not the same, there is something about the bread bowl that originally it comes with that is no ceramics will come close! (Minus a star ⭐️ here). I usually finish the soup to scoop the bread, that fun is not for me today! Then Halloumi Pesto arrived & it was nice with hard crust french bread (you have the option to have it with soft bread too). It was made of 4 grilled pieces of cheese , cucumber, tomatoes & greens. Taste was mediocre though but filling. The side “salad” was basically mixed lettuce. Overall it is a good experience & will recommend dinning here but an average price of 10 OR is expected per person. Finally, thanks to the attentive staff who made my visit a pleasure. Stay healthy, Eid Mubarak &...

The taste, presentation, portion, quality of the dish is straight 10/10.
I agree that it is quite expensive to dine here but the ingredients are very fresh and do not taste stale and wilted. It is fair that the price is expensive.
Firstly the bread and olive tapenade they gave out before the dishes arrived was warm, fluffy and so delicious. The bread was warmed perfectly and I quite enjoyed it before my meal.
We had the chicken Alfredo which was light and not to creamy, juts perfect. It was topped with pine nuts for the crunch, along with that I had a plate of avocado and prawn tempura which was one of the best tempuras I have ever had. The coating was crispy, it was not greasy at all and the cheesy dip went perfectly. I would 100% recommend this dish.
We also opted for avocado toast which was not that great, the portion was huge but taste wasn’t as good. It was not seasoned well and difficult to eat. I give that a 6/10.
For dessert we had a strawberry choux pastry, the pastry was light but it had no filling just strawberries on top. I give it again a 6/10 for lack of taste.
Overall the experience was good. The service was great and the seating was...
