Ponnusamy Restaurant — Restaurant in Muscat

I was so thrilled to visit the newly opened Tamil Nadu restaurant in Ghala and wanted to try the Bahubali Thali with my family and friends. We arrived around 2pm on 13.07.2024, a Saturday, and found the restaurant quite crowded. It took us some time to get a seat. Unfortunately, the AC in the entrance hall wasn't working, leaving everyone inside sweating. They had a floor-mounted air cooler, but it wasn't sufficient for such a large room packed with people.

Luckily, we managed to get seats in the family area where the AC was somewhat okay. However, we had to wait almost 15-20 minutes before we could place our order. Disappointingly, the Bahubali Thali wasn't available that day and wouldn't be for another 10 days. The ceramic plates they brought were not of good quality and weren't very clean.

For our meal, we ordered both Chicken and Mutton Biryani, along with plain rice and Prawns Chukka. The quantity served was far too little considering the prices charged. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes just to receive the achar and raita.

I understand that these issues might be due to the rush and the fact that the restaurant is newly opened. However, the management needs to closely monitor their operations to provide better service to customers. From what I observed, many other diners seemed dissatisfied with their meals, just like me. In today's digital age, word of mouth is crucial, and customer satisfaction should be a top priority.

Overall, my experience at Ponnusamy Restaurant in Ghala was not a good one. I might consider giving them another try in 2-3 months if I see...

I have pre booked the table and I informed them that we are 12 pax (6 adults and 6 kids ) but the table they reserved was with 8 chairs. Later it long time for us to make a seating. We all 12 accommodated on a congested table. Our friends were upset after seeing all these. We reached there around 8:30 Pm on 22/08/24 a Thursday evening, and found the restaurant quite crowded. It took us long to time but it wasn't sufficient for such a large room packed with people.

For our meal, we ordered some chicken and fish starters. Then we ordered Mutton korma, Naan and chicken tikka gravy as a main course but mutton was not cooked properly. It was too chewy. The quantity and quality served was not Upto the mark considering the prices charged.

Really I am disappointed with my recent lunch experience at your restaurant, which I had heard about from a popular YouTube channel. Today, I visited your restaurant with my friend and ordered the fish meal. However, I was shocked to see the price of 1.600 OMR for a meal that did not include essential items such as sambar, dal, and fish fry. My friend ordered the Chettinad Chicken briyani, which was charged at a staggering price of 2 OMR. Not only was the quality of the food below average, but the quantity was also unsatisfactory considering the high prices. I believe that the prices at your restaurant are significantly higher than the nearby restaurants, which offer better food at affordable prices.

I am disappointed with my experience, as I had high expectations based on the positive reviews about your restaurant. I hope you will take my feedback into consideration and work towards improving the quality and pricing of your menu...
