While trying something Turkish for lunch and this place came up good in reviews and planned to try it out. Twins Turkish is a small outlet facing the sea predominantly serving Turkish Sea Food Cuisine. If you are coming here for the view, it's really worth it. You can enjoy the food watching the serene sea. Other than the few flies (we were sitting inside) that were pestering us throughout the lunch and the indifferent approach of the staff, the lunch was ok. Service was not the best and they didn't do anything about the flies even after multiple complaints. We tried their Mezze which was fresh and delicious, the pita bread was hot and fluffy and we started the lunch well. The chicken Tikka was soft with succulent flavourful pieces of chicken with a side of fries. The grilled calamari was fresh but not with much flavour. The fried fish was bland with no traces of salt or spices not to our liking. Overall the food was fresh, majorly flavourful and tasty but have had better Turkish seafood in Muscat.

The location of the place is infront of the beach walk, beside series of other restaurants. The food is fine nothing special, the place is simple. The kids enjoyed sitting beside the window and look at the beach. The service was good, they were polite and tried their best. The Calamari fried appetizer was little bit expensive with respect to the platter size. The place was a mix of some Turkish mezze and cuizine in addition to fish food. The fish were in fridge on plates wrapped. You pick up the type and the size. Each fish plate was priced, not that much of variety, you can adjust how you like ur fish to be cooked and with what flavour. For us we prefer it with salt and lemon. We ordered Tuna salad, it needed lemon, so I had to adjust it ( we love lots of lemon with fish). The Tuna was canned tuna. One downside is that the menu was not clear, we had to ask about the ingredient of some items in the menu. The pita bread was complementary and yummy.

The place is in an amazing area with great beach view and according to the great reviews we visited it with quite high hopes, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. The service was EXTREMELY slow and it took them almost an hour from when we sat on our table and ordered until they brought our order. It was a saturday evening and they didn’t even have cola drinks which seemed quite odd for a place where alcohol isn’t allowed and beverages are generally limited. The salad we got didn’t have any taste/oil/salt, the shrimp casserole was a tiny portion and the fried calamaris, that the waiter insisted on us to order claiming they are amazing, were undercooked and tasteless. We weren’t even offered hot tea after we paid even though it’s common in turkish restaurants and they offered all the tables around us. 👎

It’s only turkish by name. This cannot be a genuine Turkish restaurant!

The menu is very small and the value of money is really little. The portion of food is too small compared to price. I came here for dinner with my wife and 2 little kids and paid 15 OMR and we all left out unsatisfied with what we received.

To respond to this restaurant guy who is being sarcastic in his response below (instead of calling or apologizing for his tourist customers), I ordered 4 meals (not 2 meals): mix grill, tajen, full plate of french fries and one large cheese fateera. It’s my first time to deal with a restaurant persons who cannot deal with negative feedback and blame their customers rather than finding a solution or showing respect.

If I can give zero rating, I would have given zero.

The lights are not enough. Completely disappointing for me for a restaurant that has this many other...
