Reveiwed March 5th 2022, the menu has since changed. Gentrification is a weird thing, while it is definitely a good idea to fix up neighbourhoods and to make areas nice to be in and have trees and all that, too much of that push to sanitise somewhere does something to the very fabric of what gave the area its feel, its culture, its own unique voice. Omnom is what happens when you've gone beyond the tipping point. Everything about seems good, plant based food, a book library, drinks that give you a perk up and all wrapped up in a spiritual "food for the soul" vibe, namaste. I had a cheese burger, fries and slaw, portion size is odd... Thimble sized amount of coleslaw but lots of fries, fries are OK a bit thin and over fried but OK. The one mouthful of slaw was nice. The cheese burger could have been a bit meh but someone chargrilled the bun and the patty and that lifted it to something quite nice. I also had a dark chocolate shake which tasted exactly like nesquick powder and oat milk with little to no thickness to it. The location gives you views of a courtyard area with a number of security staff eagerly shooing away anyone loitering, again highlighting the downside of an over gentrified area. I'm sure if you did a gap year backpacking on daddies credit card and now you want somewhere to sip a "happiness" smoothie (six quid) while you charge your Mac book after a yoga class this is probably quite the positive feng shui place. Staff are friendly.

Just off Upper street is this airy, modern vegan restaurant; but it’s so much more than just an eatery. There’s a yoga studio attached and for every meal purchased, the company donate a meal to those in need; all encompassing good karma. The food itself was excellent. Each dish on the menu had an interesting twist on a familiar dish. To start we had the Jalapeño poppers. They had an excellent crispy coating and a soft, creamy interior. A little more spice would have elevated the dish, but combined with the dipping sauce they were very moorish. The Plantain Chaat was the highlight for me. A generous portion of well spiced chickpeas, papdi and unusual additions of quinoa, cashew tuille and tamarin caramel added up to a dish with enticing flavours and textures. For main, the Masala jackfruit rosti was a well spiced dish and inspired to combine it with the crisp potato. My daughter’s burger was juicy and tasty with similarly good fries and coleslaw. The chocolate brownie was good but hugely elevated by the vanilla ice cream coated in coconut and especially by the passion fruit gel. As you can see in the photos, they are just tiny dots, however, they are so concentrated, each minuscule scraping tastes like a whole passion fruit being squeezed into your mouth, magical. Looking forward to visiting again. Well thought out food combined with a forward thinking ethos.

The food and the service were both amazing. For drinks we tried the vegan mango lassi, and it was incredible. I couldn’t tell it was vegan. We ordered almost all the starters, cassava mogo chips, papdi chaat, samosa chaat, gobi manchurian, hara bhara kebab, dahi puri, and they were all outstanding. Gobi manchurian and cassava mogo chips were the best. I was amazed at how all of this was onion and garlic free! For mains we ordered paneer butter masala, paneer lababdar and dal makhani, with some chilli naan and cheese naan, and also jackfruit biryani. Paneer lababdar was the best and most flavourful. The starters were definitely better than the mains but in my next visit I’d definitely order paneer lababdar. The staff was really patient with us, we overstayed our visit and they were truly welcoming and kind. The ambience of the restaurant, and the decor were amazing too. I love how everything at OmNom screamed yoga, mindfulness and purity. This has definitely become one of my favourite spots in London - it truly was an enlightening experience!

I recently attended an event at Omnom, and the experience was truly unforgettable! From the moment I walked in, the environment felt warm and welcoming. The space is beautifully designed, striking the perfect balance between modern, cool vibes and a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Although I was fasting and didn’t have a chance to try the food this time, the presentation looked absolutely amazing, and I’ve heard wonderful things about it. I’m definitely looking forward to trying their dishes during my next visit! What really stood out for me was the overall ambiance. Whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special event, Omnom has an energy that feels vibrant yet relaxing. It's the kind of place that makes you want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. If you're looking for a venue with a great atmosphere and impeccable service, I highly recommend Omnom. I’ll be back soon to experience the food firsthand!

OMNOM Indian Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant is a restaurant that will entice the taste buds of all diners (whether meat eaters or not) just because the dishes are well created with style and panache and full of natural flavours, health and vitality. My friend Shell who fears spices and ordered cowardly chips, became curious about my dishes, and so...tried mine and so.... I had to order more ....for HER...and now Shell is a convert! And you will be too...modern skyline ambiance and friendly staff...off the main road within pedestrianised Islington Square. In particular Krupa our wonderful waitress who we just wanted to talk to as she looked after us so well with a sparkle and humour, helped to make our evening so exceptional ✨️ A perfect night 🌙 My friend Shell said : "I'll be back..!". That's more dishes she'll be wanting me to order for her to be a-tryin then.... !!

Really lovely little place. We went for Father's Day. My one year old greatly approved of the child's menu tomato and basil linguine 😂. So much so it was all over his hands. It's child friendly which is great with a child's menu. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We shared the tandoori jackfruit tacos, BBQ cauliflower bites(off the child's menu), my partner had the BBQ plate, it was delicious but wasn't enough for him, he's 6ft3 and a tank 😂(comes with only one mock rib, so will give that a miss next time but was tasty all the same) so we ordered a couple of extra sides for him. I had the masala curry which was so tasty and my favourite of what we ate. We enjoyed all our food. Very tasty and bold flavours which we really appreciate. Too many places play it safe which results in bland food. We aren't local but will definitely be back soon.
