Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs!
Visited Alam Al Arab in Johar Town on 28th Feb 2025 with my family, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish.
We ordered Mandi, Broast, and Kunafa, and every single dish was a disappointment.
Mandi: The rice portion was shockingly small—not even enough for one person. To make things worse, there were no hidden rice portions beneath the chicken, which is a standard expectation. The taste? Completely stale and flavorless.
Broast: Overly spicy to the point of being inedible. It seemed like raw red chili powder was injected into the chicken, making it unbearable to eat. There was no actual flavor except burning heat.
Kunafa: A complete mess—served as if they had just thrown it onto the plate carelessly. No garnishing, no proper presentation, and to top it off, it was burnt on the sides.
When I politely inquired about the tiny rice portion, the waiter casually passed me off to the manager, who turned out to be the worst part of the experience.
His attitude was utterly rude and unprofessional, treating us as if we were dining at some roadside truck stop. His response to my complaint? "Kya hua hay chawlo ko? Andazay se dalty hen, itne hi aty hen." (Translation: "What’s wrong with the rice? We serve as much as we feel like.")
Instead of addressing my concerns, he spoke to us in a disrespectful and dismissive manner, with no regard for basic customer service. When I decided to cancel the Kunafa, he escalated the situation, arguing with me and even showing hostility towards my wife—all this in front of our guests and children.
The level of arrogance, poor service, and pathetic food quality at this place is beyond words. They are simply running a business to loot customers without providing even basic hospitality.
Absolutely NOT recommended—especially if you're with family or guests. Save your time, money, and dignity by choosing a place that actually values...

I recently dined at Alam Al Arab, a restaurant known for its delicious Arab cuisine, and overall, I had a satisfying experience. The flavors of the food were exceptional, and the portions were generous, leaving me feeling fully satisfied. The authenticity of the Arab taste truly stood out, making it a noteworthy dining destination.
However, there are a couple of areas where Alam Al Arab could improve to enhance the overall dining experience. Firstly, the restaurant's environment can become quite uncomfortable during the summer months. The lack of adequate cooling can make it hot and stuffy, affecting the overall comfort of the guests. Installing efficient air conditioning or implementing alternative cooling measures would greatly benefit diners, especially during warmer seasons.
Additionally, as the restaurant features an open kitchen, there is a noticeable meaty smell that greets you upon entering. While some might find this enticing, I personally found it slightly overpowering, and it could be off-putting to those with sensitivities or dietary preferences.
Despite these areas for improvement, I must emphasize that the quality of the food at Alam Al Arab is truly remarkable. With a few adjustments to the environment and odor management, Alam Al Arab has the potential to become an even more exceptional dining...
Read moreThe food over here is good at its best. Beef shawarma was well crafted though I found it to be a bit salty , otherwise quite good. Mutabak (Arabian Paratha) was to be honest not worth trying. It could have been so so much better. It wasn’t fried properly and tasted not very good. Also chicken quantity was very less. Kunafe was very hard and over done though taste good. Flaffel was the only item which was flawless. Probably the best ones I have had in lahore. Allahumdulilah all in all it was fine affair. I conveyed my suggestions to the servers , and the person on the counter but they weren’t really bothered. . My humble request to the owner is to improve their dining area , there were no ACs and the service needs improvement as well. . I hope they will rectify the above highlighted issues and will improve. . I Will be inshaaAllah visiting them soon to try their...
