I just wanna start off by saying that please avoid the elevator and take the stairs unless you have mobility issues, trust me, that thing is a deathtrap. We felt really unsafe and sketched out because of all the rattles and odd behavior (like the doors not behaving as they should).
Moving on, the exterior and interior are somewhat fancy, motion sensor lights and whatnot. Neat, I guess.
But we're not here for that, we're here for the food. So, to keep this short. It wasn't worth it. I'm a big fan of Arabian cuisine, and having grown up in KSA myself I know what authentic cuisine is like.
We had the Dajaj Kabsa and Shawarma Sarookh, along with one can of Pepsi, our bill, on card totaled to about 3k rupees.
This was for 2 people. Quantity wise the shawarma was disappointing, kabsa was alright, but still slightly lacking imo.
Quality is where everything goes downhill, terrible terrible shawarma. The thoum or garlic mayo tasted nothing like it should, it was almost "sweet" in a way, not good.
The kabsa was eh, almost tasteless, the chicken was dry, overall a VERY disappointing meal.
As for the service, it was so & so, I'm a patient guy so I don't really mind. But they took like 5-10 minutes just to bring us our bill after our meal because they couldn't find the card machine.
I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here, the entire hotel and restaurant was empty and devoid of life when we went anyways. The food, especially for the price, is lacking in both quality and quantity. Really unfortunate as I expected more...
Read moreFirst and last time visiting this place. Food is average at best. Ordered shawarma and the chicken was unevenly cooked. Some pieces gave it a raw taste while others were alright.
The biggest issue I faced was the billing though. They added water to my bill even though I did not consume it. Full disclosure, my bad as well that I did not demand for bill first, but the staff did not provide me the bill, simply charged the card. I was a little distracted and when I realized that bill should be lower, it was too late. I demanded to get a refund for that bottle of water alone, but after waiting for some time they refused to do so. The amount charged was only 90+tax for it, however, it's about the principle. Honestly it's my bad as well that I didn't check the bill before paying, but I sort of expected the staff to not try to cheat me. Well, 2 lessons learned on my part. Always check the bill before paying no matter how bad a headache you have distracting you. Never visit...
Read moreI'll be blunt and straight forward so read to the end. I was greeted with a smile and we were given this arabic coffee while we waited for our food. The waiter was extremely nice and professional, the restuarant is very clean and well managed. Although, having lived half of my life on arabic foods, their shawarma shared somewhat a similar taste, but was not exactly like a Turkish, or Syrian or Lebanese shawarma. It was made out of something similar to paratha, and lacked pickles. The garlic sauce was sweet and tasted more like mayonnaise than garlic. The waiter himself guided very well and said our kunafa right now isn't very good but referred me to another restuarant which was very surprising. Overall, I would recommend this place, but the shawarma matched 70 percent only to the original...
