Taus Islamabad Beverly — Restaurant in Zone 1

This is a hyped up place for desi food and I finally decided to visit on 14 Aug with my family but despite the decent food, I will definitely be not going here again. Despite the premium price for food, you get served in plastic plates and disposable glasses that are cracked. You have drinks spilling on your clothes with those soda glasses and the staff does not care a bit about your predicament. Ordered the BBQ Platter that is supposed to have two mutton chomps. There was only one in there and it can't disappear as there is a big bone. I repeatedly informed the waiters and the manager but everytime, they disappeared towards the kitchen without reverting. The waiters seemed helpless while the manager was definitely the most rude individual I have come across in this business. Nobody gives a dime about the food if this is how they are going to treat you and charged 9k for 4 adults. Definitely not recommending...

The food is average at best. We ordered their BBQ madness platter, makhni and paneer reshmi handi, and mutton namkeen chops. The BBQ was the most disappointing, with the kebabs bland, all chicken flavors tasting the same, and the naan cold. A lot of it tasted like leftover food from yesterday or something covered in tenderizer for too long. The namkeen chops were marinated in masala, and not with salt as the name suggested. The reshmi handi was a little better, but it was overshadowed by how bad everything else was.

The service was slow. Food took around 30 minutes, but water and naans took around 3 more reminders to arrive.

The space is also very small, which makes the place very noisy and crowded with only 3-4 tables being filled.

So, overall very disappointing. I would never go there again or...

I have to share our review on #Tau's Restaurant I 8 Markaz Islamabad. The receipt of bill attached. We had ordered a full mutton Karhae. But they delivered a half karhai.. Blaming us that we ordered half . He clearly said at time of order that a full karhae is enough for 5 people. But he intentionally delivered half karhae.. They then presisted us that they will prepare another half in 5 minutes they did so but they charged for 2x half karhae instead of 1x full. 1x full Karhae rate 3950 2x half karhae rate 5058 This was their tactic to get us charged an extra amount.
