Primitivo — Restaurant in San Francisco

Service was good but at the end we got our sons hamburger to go. And ask them to hold it and a bottle of wine we did not finish so we may walk and take some pictures, they said no problem. Upon return they informed us they threw out the food by accedent and would replace it. We said ok no problem so while we waited for the food and car from valet they bring us another bottle of wine and say is to make up for the error about the food. I felt it nice so i ask them to bring me a drink and i tip them and the valet a decent amount to make up for the wine. When they bring me the hamburger they brought me a bill for it. I explained that they threw out our food any they informed me thos was to replace so it should not be charged. He informed me he did not know that and is why he gave me the bottle of wine. So in the end they asked for the wine back or for me to pay for the burger. So i gave the wine back and lost out on the tip i gave because i was under the impression they where doing more to make up for...

Went there after reading good reviews and articles about the place and expecting to fully feed my two male friends and we were all disappointed in our experience. Our server rolled her eyes at us when we ordered for no reason as we were quite happy to be there upon arrival. The boys decided to share the 42 ounce cowboy steak with a side of mashed potatoes and the lobster starter and I ordered the fish of the day with roasted veggies.

The steak was under seasoned The steak was way smaller than 42 ounces The mashed potatoes were basically a soup The veggies were unseasoned Our wine was very tasty My fish was quite tasty just a lot of bones

Could of been a miscommunication but when we informed our server how we were very disappointed she just brought us the full bill. It then took 20 minutes to get their attention to explain again and they gave us a 25% discount, still paying $200. And the boys left still hungry.

Personally I don’t think it’s worth the hype. And definitely not...

The atmosphere is beautiful, but the customer service and the food was HORRIBLE. It was my birthday, so I wanted a great experience. They didn’t have the Octopus appetizer that was advertised on the menu, so we ordered the Octopus entree. It was UNDERCOOKED. When I told the manager about it, he didn’t do anything to correct it, nor did he even apologize. The drinks were great, but the food definitely didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered prawns as my entree, I was given a few prawns and a few shrimps. When I order PRAWNS, I EXPECT PRAWNS. Instead, I received a few prawns and a few shrimps. That WAS NOT stated on the menu, I expected ALL PRAWNS. The drinks and the decor were the only 2 things that were good. The food and the customer service was EXTREMELY HORRIBLE.
