Chifa Royal — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Visiting Peru for 6 days, of course we want to go to different attractions while trying different restaurants. Found this restaurant online, the reviews are appealing but having dinner there was horrid. We were the only two people in the entire restaurant (two stories high) you think you would get treated with their “royalty” right? Ha nope. My husband and I ordered a couple of cocktails literally to the guy who was our waiter vanished after taking our meal order a teenager came over to give us half of what we ordered waiting for the remaining took over 20 minutes by then my ice is melted! Never once did they check on us throughout our meal, all of the employees were laughing and just milking the clock not doing anything at all! This place has “decent food” I’ll say but the customer service is beyond the most horrible experience ever, will make it a note to never come back! I like to eat Chinese food. This place has modified the menu to the pleasure of peruvian taste, so it is a good idea, so I will call it fusion Chinese Peruvian food. We ordered the roast duck and it was served with the format of a Peking duck skin with a very thin flour tortilla (instead of rice tortilla) and the vegetables were not quite Beijing style, which was something like a fusion. Average taste. Fresh ingredients and nice dishes but the prices are overrated and the service is too cold and snobbsh.

The waiters even demand you leave a tip in cash which we haven't used in years because of covid.

We spent around 700 soles per 8 people lunch, including a couple drinks. When we were about to pay they told us in a rude way they weren't accepting coupons or discount of any kind.

Not what it used to be. Won't come back again and I suggest you stop coming unless strictly necessary to force the restaurant level up their service and food.
