The hotel staff is friendly and has a smile on their face. During breakfast they were a little forgetful in terms of bringing the requested tea and eggs. The breakfast has enough choice like cereal, fresh fruit, warm food like scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes etc. Fresh orange juice, pineapple juice, detox drink and fruit flavoured water for drinks and you can order hot drinks. Next to the breakfast area is the old bassin for the dolphins, who are not in the bassin anymore. The pool is small and in this time of year you have sun until 15.00. The rooms are basic and wifi is quite slow when everybody is waking up. You can sleep with 2 persons in the bed, but it is a little cramped. There is a TV and DVD player in the room and air-conditioning works great. Not too cold and works like it should. The bathroom has a low bath and a big showerhead. Temperature of the water is good. I did order food at the swimming pool but without cheese, but unfortunately it was still on the salad. My colleague ate a wrap, but the fries were cold and the wrap was OK. The location of the hotel is in a safe area, but you do need a taxi to go to other places. There is a nice country club opposite the hotel where you can have a drink and...

We were assured we would be well looked after when American Airlines sent us off to the hotel having cancelled our flights. However, when we arrived, we were treated like 3rd rate citizens as we were provided vouchers for food paid by the airline. Nobody explained the situation at the hotel, and we were presented with chicken and rice for lunch, and for dinner, and at dinner given nothing else other than chicken and rice, no starter or dessert. The restaurant staff were conspicuous by their absence and would never look you in the eye if they appeared. The only true professional we interacted with was their concierge representative. Our previous flight being cancelled meant we stayed in Holiday Inn opposite the airport, which felt a world apart from our experience here. Prior to that, we stayed at Los Incas, which was incredible. It would be good if the hotel and staff could have treated us like people who had a number of challenges out of their control rather than...
