La taberna 1900 — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

I love this place so much I made it my local when travelling in Peru even though I’m no longer staying at the hostel.

The staff are so kind & friendly, this I think is down to the wonderful management of Priscilla & Augustine. They look after the staff well & are always training them so they can be brilliant in their own right.

Every night I’ve been I see locals & travellers returning as a place they feel like home & valued. This is a rare feeling that you don’t experience consistently at other places I’ve tried in Peru.

The food is excellent with expert chefs, great cocktails, wonderful artists playing music, great music played & also on some nights karaoke & if you’re very lucky you might here the see the local music students trying it out or the the manager who had a voice like an angel!

Had a "carnivora" pizza, asked if it was made with sourdough but the admin says it was regular dough. But I like it, thin crust. It was for takeout, did not like that they check every customers bag, backpack to enter the place to prevent drinks from outside, would recommend just to charge additional if anybody bring any non alcoholic drink, instead of checking the bags....

This place is amazing!! I had a plate of tacos, honey mustard wings and margarita pizza Best pizza I've found in Peru in 4 years. The staff are amazing and friendly. Felt extremely welcomed and attended. Service was phenomal for Peru. My friend enjoyed their signature cocktails....
