Segundo Muelle — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

The food was late and arrived in parts. Once it arrived everything was already cold. We ordered conchitas a la parmesana, ceviche, pan seared fish filled, and tuna medallions with grilled vegetables.

The ceviche was flavorless, I thought I was back in chile for a second. The fried squid that came with the ceviche was cold and chewy like rubber. The fish filled came fried yuca which was cold and vegetables which seemed raw whe. They should have been steamed. The tuna in a teriyaki sauce was ok, a bit too fishy and the rice was cold. I think they have a lot of customers and might not be able to deal with the crowd at times. The supervisor came by to apologize for the inconvenience which was fine, but until they get stuff together I would avoid...

Service was poor. Food mediocre. Presentation contrived. Restaurant was older and worn. Overall a C- AND the prices were too high for the venue/product. I’d skip this one if I were you and seek another venue for “ceviche” in Peru. One should not have to pay for disappointing goods/services. Quite a let down for our family; All Peruvians but me. Appears the place is simply suffering from decent ADULT management. Did not appear fresh and vibrant. Rather dead and stale. And the THUMPING/loud dance type music left the atmosphere even more sophomoric. Sorry, but for premium prices, one should receive premium product and premium service. Caveat Emptor. ...

A ver, con 2do muelle no tengo problemas, las porciones son consistentes, no llegando a ser uberrimas, pedí una parihuela que estuvo cargada de mariscos calamar, pulpo, conchas y caracol, pedacitos de pescado blanco, talvez ojo de uva, pedi tambien una milanesa de pescado con arroz, estuvo muy bien apanada, pescado blanco suave y con sabor, luego pedí un tiradito al ají amarillo, nada del otro mundo, no muy abundante la porción, muy regular y el detalle del camote glaseado lo hacia simpático al plato, la atención de los mozos muy atentos, rápidos y me ayudaron con la elección de platos sobre todo que tenía a mi hijo y quería algo que pueda comer, logre el objetivo, la chicha fue el punto de quiebre, excelente nunca he probado una chicha más sabrosa en ningún otra cevichería, estuvo muy bien aromatizada de hecho con pimienta chapa, piña, mucho limón, Canelita y mucha dedicación, en general puedo darle un 9.5 di no fuera porque no tenían un espacio para los abrigos, termine poniendo mi abrigo en la silla, eso a futuro en invierno sería bueno que tengan un lugar para guardar los abrigos, es incómodo sobre todo si son 3. Por lo demás me llevo la experiencia de disfrutar Rica comida en un lugar agradable y bastante acogedor. Pero una recomendación, coman en las mesas de afuera, adentro parece una pelea de cacatúas y eso es lo que nunca voy a entender de los restaurantes peruanos, o somos muy bulleros o simplemente que nos tomamos muy a pecho que se siente uno muy en casa, creo que para almorzar no es necesario que los comensales se enteren con las conversaciones ajenas, esa mala costumbre debemos desterrar los peruanos si queremos traer más turistas. Para comer y departir hay que manejar los tonos de voz, es un momento con la familia que merece...
