Tanta San Miguel — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Never once have I left a restaurant because the service was so bad, but it was terrible. When we arrived, we were seated inside. We sat there for a while and no one would come up to us so we had to get up and ask to be served. Only then did we find out that only breakfast was being served. We finally put in our order for waters, a cappuccino, and steak and eggs (which he never asked how we’d like the steak cooked). We never received any of our drinks and the male server refused to look at us the entire time. He stopped folding napkins for a brief second but still would not address us. The food was taking a long time given we were one of the only ones in the restaurant and it seemed like the few people outside had already ordered. There were three servers and the two gentlemen that were working were neglecting guests to fold napkins. As a server, I understand this is part of their job, but the guest comes first. Unless people are running around doing their job (which the one female server was), there is no reason a customer should sit there for 30+ minutes without drinks or at least an explanation. I was at the restaurant on 9/10 with my partner. I must mention that the service from the staff was terrible. First we were served by a waitress. I gave her detailed instructions for our drinks and she ignored my instructions completely. The worst thing was that the same waitress didn't even bring them. Another waitress brought them. I had to give the instructions again and they brought me the drinks very reluctantly and again it wasn't what I had ordered. In the end I was served by 5 different waiters and the fifth one solved the problem with the drinks. For the main course we ordered Lomo Saltado. The food was excellent. I must give them credit. The wait time for the food wasn't too long and the price was also good. But the service was very uncomfortable because it is a nice environment and the food was good. however we ordered a plate with meat well cooked and one 1/2 cooked and they gave us the wrong plates. If the waiters were neat and efficient it would be much better. Also, in the end when I asked for the bill the waitress at the beginning asked me for a tip. We started out pretty good with tequeños , so me and my wife were hopeful since it was our first time there ,then juice came and it was way too foamy , unsweetened and just unappealing. Our main dishes took close to an hour to arrive and when they arrive ... oh boy! to begin with i ordered something the kitcken didn't have ready to serve , then i ordered something else which took forever to arrive and you could tell it was microwaved and my wife ordered chicken and her chicken was heavily under seasoned and her sides were cold , I asked the stuff to heat up the sides but they brought THE SAME PLATE - untouched , 3 minutes later the manager asked if we wanted hot sides which i originally asked for. at that point i was already upset at the staff and just paid and left.
