Restaurant La Valentina — Restaurant in Trujillo

I found this place by pure chance while I was desperately looking for a decent place to have some food because I was literally starving and there seemed to be no decent restaurant around. It literally came to my rescue. The food was really very very good and extremely cheap. The cheapest I had in Latin America. A soup as starter (don’t remember the name but vegetables and rice mixed yummy), one main dish(picante de mariscos), big fruit bowl as dessert and a fresh juice cost only 14,5 sol. It was a nice surprise in not cheap...

Food was surprisingly good. Actually amazing.

Fried potatos were very crispy. Rice was so tasty. But the best was the chicken...

Llegué a almorzar el sábado un rico ají de gallina con su salpicón de pollo. Y el domingo en la mañana desayuné un tamal, una humita, jugo surtido que de hecho es económico considerando lo poco y caro que cobran por algo así en Lima por ejemplo. Un frito de chancho con su arroz. Para resumir. Todo bien rico y la atención muy buena. Algo lento se podría decir en torno a servir la comida que se pide. Pero la espera lo vale por la buena comida que sirven...
