On account of devastating earth quakes, the Plaza de Armas is lo-rise, and much the better for it. My feeling is that they have not done enough to pedestrianize ( pietonizar) the Plaza or any of the streets around it. It would not be difficult to do, and surrounding streets would be pacified, and much cleaner. When you consider the fine work done in center Lima, and Arequipa re pietonizando it is surprising that Trujillo cannot do the same.
