Tearoom Santo Domingo — Restaurant in Trujillo

For foreigners, I'd stay away. Arrived in Trujillo so went here for breakfast and got food poisoning. I had a bad feeling because none of the staff looked very happy and the menu is absolutely nothing special, not made with pride, and I'm left with days written off.

Costs 18 sol for something a hostel breakfast would make you for free probably cost 3sol to make...one sol for the one piece of bread, one sol for terrible coffee, and the other sol for the small glass of juice (that I probably got ill from). The coffee itself is a joke, a vial of stale shot to mix...

We went there twice: once for breakfast: very good food, good service, we left happy since we enjoyed our first time there, we returned a second time for a light dinner before leaving Trujillo. Slow and unpleasant waitress, but this was not the biggest problem. We both had sandwiches (1 serrano ham sandwich and 1 cheese sandwich) and suffered bad food poisoning from this meal, which ruined our evening, night, and the following 2 days. Lugar de comida simple. Sobre valorado en mi opinión. La especialidad de la casa "Desayuno Santo Domingo" (35 soles), 3 hilachas de chanchob(porciones pequeñas), literal 3 tajadas delgadas de camote, una huma o tamal insípido, un café pequeño que parecía juguete (7 soles) . PEDIMOS 4 PANES ADICIONAL y nos trajeron 3, supuestamente porque "ya había reservas" y no tenían más. PESIMO. creo que lo único bueno fue la vista del balcón hacia la plaza (solo cuando vas en pareja, 2 personas). NUNCA MAS VOLVERÍA. Actualización de comentario: Fuera de resolver en forma armoniosa y en beneficio de los clientes (como haría cualquier restaurante que ve insatisfacción), luego de que leyeran este comentario, la administradora se acercó a nuestra mesa y señaló en voz alta que no le parece el comentario fuera de lugar que he hecho, y cuestionó el porqué comí si no me gustó la comoda, que no podía dar un vaso con agua caliente porque eso demanda costos (lo cual me parece ridículo), entre otras cosas, y además que eliminé este comentario porque cuidan su prestigio. Al respecto, no tengo nada más que agregar, solo que mejoren. No estamos en Cuba, esto es Perú y hay libertad de expresión. NO...
