Mar de Limón Ceviche & Makis — Restaurant in Wanchaq

We tried this place based on a family member’s recommendation, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. As soon as we walked in, the place was full of flies, which should have been the first red flag. I should’ve turned around then, but decided to give it a chance.

The chairs were dirty and stained, to the point where I didn’t even want to sit down. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was very questionable and made the whole experience uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem welcoming or friendly either, which added to the unpleasant atmosphere.

The food was another letdown: bland, lacking any real flavor, and clearly made with low-quality ingredients. For the prices they’re charging, we expected something much better. Instead, it felt like we were overpaying for something we didn’t even enjoy.

I honestly felt gross eating there. The environment felt unclean and uninviting from start to finish. I would not recommend this...

honestly ive been here 3 times and the food has always tasted amazing ,, but this time my mother inlaw found a hair in her soup but the worst was my syster inlaw found a small piece of the dish washing steel scrapers in her food which is really disgusting and makes u wonder how does that even happen ,, im guessing the chef was washing dishes with the scraper (without a hairnet) and then went back to cooking without washing his dirty hands!!!, we told our waiter and he said he will let the chef know , not even an apology, he also gave us the worst service

Im definetly not coming back here cause they obviously dont follow sanitary protocols...

Sinceramente no me gustó para nada, desde la chicha morada (toda aguada e insípida..) y las entradas que nos sirvieron al final... me cobraron 25 soles solo este plato de entrada, (que creo que era pulpo al olivo) y repito me sirvieron al último! Y por cierto estaba súper ácido, no se podía ni comer (yo no lo terminé) y para el colmo de la estafa, falta de respeto! Y criterio del "chef" (por que no me parece otra cosa lo que hacen) la presentación del plato o mejor dicho los ingredientes utilizados! Pésimos! No van de acuerdo al precio!! Ni a la zona! ...En fin odio tener que calificar de esta manera, pero es que nunca me había sentido tan ofendida en un restaurant, tan solo vean la foto para que no se dejen estafar! . . . Honestly I did not like it at all, from the chicha morada (all watery and tasteless ..) and the tickets that served us at the end ... they charged me 25 soles just for this starter dish, (which I think was olive octopus) and I repeat I was served last! And by the way it was super acid, you could not even eat it (I did not finish it) and for the height of the scam, disrespect! And criterion of the "chef" (because I do not think anything else what they do) the presentation of the dish or rather the ingredients used! terrible! They do not go according to the price !! Not to the area! ... I hate to have to qualify in this way, but I've never felt so offended in a restaurant, just look at the photo so you do not...
