I only ever go there to eat at Sinangag Express in which - if I may sneak in a review here - last night when I ordered tapsilog (tapa, Sinangag or garlic fried rice, and itlog or Sunny egg fried on excess oil from cooking the tapa) served me microwaved tapa, sunny egg from the fridge, and cold plain rice on a newly washed plate that wasn't even wiped dry. Boo.
Sinangag Express is the outermost store facing the street. As you go in there's more one-off specialty restaurants that cater to the students at nearby UPHR. So that means affordable food and no alcohol. The place feels like a food truck district with a guard at the front.
It's quieter in the late evenings probably because the students don't hang out late and many stores close early. The few that are open serve Chinese ... Not even sure if they're students or tourists but they seem to have multiplied recently, like ants on a slice of cake you for got about in your...
