Aranci Blú Ristorante — Restaurant in Angeles

I came to the restaurant around 2:00 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was empty. We ordered vongole, pepperoni, and tiramisu for dessert.

Vongole (2.5/5) I think the choice of clam is not good. There was no vongole flavor at all, and the use of anchovies were a bit of a cheat. The linguine itself was delicious and distribution of heat to the clam was good.

Pepperoni(3.8/5) The sweet tomato sauce and mozzarella went well together. The dough was fresh, probably shaped upon order. The dough was thin and crispy, but there were some chewy parts that I liked. I don't think it was oven-baked, but I think it was baked at a high temperature and in a relatively short time. I would have liked the temperature to be a little higher.

Tiramisu(2/5) The tiramisu had three layers of sponge and cream, and the coffee was like a diluted Robusta espresso and had no flavor. The mascarpone had no milky flavor at all, and I think they should use something better. It was more like buttercream than mascarpone. Or maybe a mixture of mascarpone and buttercream. The tiramisu was honestly disappointing.

Service(2/5) I was dissatisfied with the server. He made a loud noise when he put the plate on the table and seemed to be angry with the customer from start to finish. By the way, vat is included in the price, but the 10% service charge is exclusive.

Overall Review(3.5/5) I like Italian food and would visit for other pasta dishes if I have the chance. There are no special features, but I think the cost-effectiveness is not bad. Ambiance is good....

Service was horrible! They set a party of 3 all the way in the back corner. Took our order, after 10 minutes , they brought out 2 orders. After another ten minutes I had to get up, look for the waiter, ask about my Oder an then waited another10 minutes for their hot roast beef sandwich. Not one time did a waiter ever come back to refill our empty water glasses or ask us if we wanted anything else. To get my bill I had to get up an go find the waiter again to ask for my bill. I also asked to speak to the manager anwas told they are not there. Now this is at 7 pm on a busy Sat night. When I asked who was in charge, he replied he was. I then told him their food was great but the service was horrible. An I told him why I felt it was horrible. All I got back was a Sorry Sir. I will never go their again. We had a lot of expectations from this place as it had over 4 star reviews. We wish that the food and service matched the ambience/atmosphere that this place has to offer.

For Appetizers we had the Insalata Di Rocca (which was the best thing we ordered), French Onion Soup, and Spinach Dip with Chips. French Onion soup was bland and the spinach dip did not have enough spinach.

For Mains we had the Aglio Olio with Angel Hair Pasta and the Lasagna. Both were very basic, lasagna meat was very chewy but the marinara sauce was tasty. The Aglio Olio needed more of a garlic and Parmesan taste.

For Dessert we had the churros.. or doughy bread. Yes most pieces were undercooked. Overall the churros were a different type.

Overall experience… They need to do something better on service and tweak their food with a little...
