I'm gonna have to be honest right off the bat and tell you guys that this review is going to be biased. As a former U.S. Marine myself, I think this place is awesome!! All bias aside though, I did find the food to be very tasty. I had the nachos, the NYC hotdog, and the "Gunner" burger; which is the 150 gram burger. The burgers all have the same toppings and only vary by size. Each size is named after either a WWE wrestler (which I was also a huge fan of in my younger days when it was the WWF), or USMC terminology. I mentioned to the waitress that I would love to meet the Gunny and wow, she actually introduced me! He looked intimidating at first, but he's a really down to Earth, funny, and nice guy. Talking to him really brought me back to my USMC days. Anyway, definitely check the place out! The decor is something you won't see anywhere else in Bacolod and the food is good and well priced. It also didn't leave me feeling bloated like when I usually eat burgers. Everything just felt light and...
Read moreMy family had for our dinner the Kaipo burger, Gunner's burger, Taco, and Onion rings. The burgers are simply pure grilled beef the way it should be. We had them grilled medium rare and we were satisfied with the juiciness and the real beef taste. The taco is tasty and meaty while the onion rings are big and crispy enough, paired with tartar sauce. Price is affordable. Place is clean and service is fast. My wife's only gripe is that inside the aircon dining area, the onion and spice scent fills the air which irritates her eyes. This is because the kitchen and dining area has no dividing wall (dining and kitchen is common space). But anyone can always dine outside the aircon room 'Al fresco' . Other than that the food is great, and authentic American taste. I know the taste and it reminds me of the American diners owned by retired American servicemen in Angeles City near Clark Air Base where I grew up. This is a highly recommend place to eat and satisfy your...

Gunny's is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts in the city. Their claim to 100% beef patties is no exaggeration. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite is a satisfying explosion of beefy goodness. The buns are soft and hold up well to the juicy patties.
However, our dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. While the burgers were undoubtedly stellar, the fish and chips left something to be desired. The fish had that unmistakable taste and texture of frozen, pre-packaged seafood. It was a stark contrast to the freshness and quality of the burgers.
Despite the letdown with the fish, Gunny's still deserves high praise for their burgers. If you're a burger aficionado, this place is a must-try. Just skip the fish and chips and focus on the star...
