Luisa’s Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Bacolod

I recently visited Luisa’s Friend Chicken on May 29, 2025, with my family and had mixed feelings about the food. I’d rate the taste and flavor of their chicken a 3 out of 5—it was decent but didn’t quite stand out this time. Their famous garlic spareribs, 3.5/5 which I’ve enjoyed before, also seemed just okay during this visit and didn’t quite live up to my previous experiences.

The place itself is quite small and somewhat easy to miss unless you already know it’s there. If you’re planning to come with a big group, it’s best to call ahead and make a reservation to ensure seating. While the location is convenient, the limited space can be challenging during busy hours.

Probably the best fried chicken I've had ever. Nice, fatty, tender chicken. Crispy skin (Savory style with no breading).

The chicken was so good it felt like I was betraying it by adding the provided sauce, which was a tasty sweet soy thin sauce.

Machang was also pretty good but less of a revelation (what isn't when compared to the chicken I had). Pairs very well with the chicken.

My one gripe is the weak cell signal inside the restaurant.

Went to Bacolod just to try Luisa’s garlic spareribs (so tender, juicy and packed with flavour!!!). Taste was superb and exceeded my expectations! I finished one serving by myself hahaha it was that good!!!

Place was small and always filled with locals. I love that they offer cashless transaction (Gcash) and you can also order via Grab food.

I wish the staff were more accommodating/ more nicer?!. Haha but all in all it was a good experience! Will definitely come back to eat at...
