I ordered a pour-over, but it was served at room temperature — not even warm. As a home brewer, I know how long it takes for coffee to cool to that point, and it definitely shouldn't have been served that way.

When I raised this, the barista apologized but followed it up with a technical explanation about brewing at 89°C. While I understand the process, a simple, sincere apology would’ve gone further.

They offered to replace the drink, but the pour-over I originally wanted was no longer available. I settled for a hot Americano instead — which came out very hot, maybe as a way to make up for the first cup. Unfortunately, it lacked the fruity notes I was expecting and leaned bitter and over-extracted.

I know they're on soft opening, so there's definitely room to grow — but hopefully next time, coffee won’t be served at room temp.

The Jalapeño Poppers were...

We were not happy with their service. I guess their previous issue was true. They tend to ask their customers to leave.

On our part, we only ordered our beverages first and sat on their alfresco, but we really wanted to be inside the cafe to take some pictures, so when the customers inside left, we transferred inside the cafe. We were talking and finishing our last sip, but we were planning to order again, yet we were asked by the barista if we were done with our drinks because new customers would dine in. Note that these new customers are the owners friends. So we were left with no choice but to leave. We just wanted to order again, yet we didn’t have...

their new place is better than expected. though the magic of the previous location is to be missed, this new location is more comfortable and engaging for anyone who wants to study and/or work. it also allows groups to gather and have fun with their chess boards and some reading materials they also offer their merch from caps to cups.

their espresso based drinks are still great - since they're using yardstick coffee beans (not to neglect their dedication to have these beans dialed in properly to their machines). they also offer pour over drinks which are excellent.

we ordered their tuna melt and...

✨ NEW COFFE SHOP ALERT ✨ SLO _ BAR café 🌀 📍8th St, Lacson, Bacolod City ⏰10 AM to 6 PM Closed every Tuesday Looking for a coffee place to hang out with your friends? Make sure to include this shop in your list! 🤍 This is one of the coffee shops in the city definitely surprised me when it comes to their look and feel, and as well as their drinks. Their Iced Matcha and Spanish Latte… is surely a must try! Also enjoy, brownies and their banana bread along with your drink while you chill and take it SLO.
