We had the chicken kebabs, pancit canton, and sisig, adding on some rice. (Cos we can’t live without it xD) they all tasted great, with the kebabs standing out with their softness and fresh taste. The sisig pleased me with their usual filipino savoury goodness. I didnt get to try the pancit myself, but the family enjoyed it well.
Unfortunately, i found a foreign entity in my rice, and the server who we called to help handled it immediately, informing the kitchen about the news and delivering me some replacement rice. The staff were easy to call over, and were quick with their service.
As for the atmosphere in the restaurant, it was pretty okay! Nothing spectacular about it in general. Neither the decorations or the people really caught my eye. That does mean, however, that I was comfortable and open to staying for a long dinner. I also appreciated their music choices as they weren’t disruptive.
Despite all this, the rating for the atmosphere is quite low. That is because the bathroom is filthy. According to my companions, the pungent smell of pee hit their noses as soon as they entered the room. The floors were both wet and dirty. It was bad enough that they walked through half the mall to reach a different bathroom because they didn’t want to use the one inside the restaurant!
All things considered, it was a good meal. Maybe not a good bathroom break, but I believe that the staff of Gerry’s gril will resolve...
Read moreFood: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was assuming the adobo would be too salty, as all restaurants usually put too much soy sauce. But the adobo rice I had is balanced and savoury. I added pork sisig because why not. Extra egg since I do love to add a lot of eggs in my sisig. No chilies for the sisig though, but i didnt ask if they can make it spicy. The chopsuey is an excellent dish to complement the adobo rice and sisig as well.
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They are quick and accurate with my orders. I made it a point to come during off hours because I know peak hours would slow down the serving time. My order was completed after 10-15min. Perfect time for chatting with your friends while waiting.
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Again, I dined here during off hours so noise is at the minimun. I am able to enjoy the quiet ambience and enjoy the navy-style decor to it's maximum. The place is also spotless so there are no concerns for hygiene here. Comfort rooms are clean when...
Read moreWorst waiting/serving time. We arrived at around 1150 am almost 12 noon on a Sunday, there were only 4 tables that were occupied (meaning it's not full house) we sent orders at 12noon. We noticed that the resto was slowly getting full. Around 1250pm (50 mins from the time we ordered) our orders were not yet served, we followed up, then after 5 mins our food arrived, in total we waited for like an hour. The soup of sinigang na bangus was luke warm, the sisig was not well cooked, no water. It took around 15mins just to get our bill. I noticed that they only had like 3 servers and even saw there supervisor/manager washing dishes, so I think they were understaffed, however, if that was the case they should have reduced there serving capacity and not accept that much customers if they knew the quality of there service and food will suffer. Also, alert level 1 was announced days before, they should have a game plan on busy days knowing they have...
