Oh man oh man. As a Filipino-Chinese, I am exposed to alot of dimsum particularly siomai. It's a part of me. I tried fancy, really good ones, prepackaged, cheap or homemade ones. I thought siomai was something I really know the taste of. Like I know when it's bad or it's good just by the look of it. A siomai connoissuer if you will but boy was I wrong.
Kuya Jeff's Siomai may fool you as it looks like what Master Siomai and Siomai King would serve you where the sauce would just be the one to take over the show.
You will know that there are extenders but the flavor, the umami of the siomai mixed with their special chili garlic sauce. It will bring you to a flavor heaven that you wouldn't get with any other siomai.
Have I told you it was 6pesos/pc? At 34 pesos (4 siomai and 1 rice) I already had a great meal!
You can also buy their siomai by the bulk but I personally couldn't recreate the taste with their take home siomai but that's okay. It just makes me want to go there again.
