Paolito's STK — Restaurant in Cebu City

Our first and last visit.. not so happy with the food and the overall service.

The order took longer than expected (a customer from another table even complained because the waiter wasn't even sure that their order will be served in one hour) Waited for almost an hour but the food was cold when served. The rice wasn't cooked properly Didn't even offer anything to drink, like water Two of our orders didn't arrive We tried asking for the bill twice, even talked to a manager but no progress, there was lack of communication between waiters. During our 2 hours of stay, 5 set of customers (consisting of atleast 5-7 people) left the restaurant due to poor customer service.

Personally, I felt bad for customers who went there to eat with their family, especially those who brought their kids, kids who spent months staying inside their homes. And for those who were sitting behind us, they came in dressed up and was all pretty and smiling, but after an hour, their smiles were all gone, just annoyed faces. They arrived a few minutes after we took our seat. We finished our food and went out but their food didn't arrive still. Kudos to their patience* wish I have it.

But today, Paolito's STK lost lots of customers and got multiple cancelled orders. This should serve as a lesson to them. Considering the previous reviews that they got, I know they can do better, but still.... we're not coming back, I am not really good at giving second chances.

Poor poor service and lack of ingredients. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took almost an hour for all the food to come out. They could not make two of the dishes we ordered and when the hostess came to repeat our order to pay, those dishes were still on the bill. Instead of chit chatting, maybe they should communicate with coworkers that pertains to their job instead of giggling about their personal lives. Almost at the end of us eating then they brought out the calamansi and peppers for sauce which by then was pointless. And while they were waiting for more customers, the least they could do was bring water and the cokes we ordered as there were so many employees chit chatting and paso-paso around the restaurant. There was one making a TikTok video/ recording herself on her cellphone?!!! She definitely was NOT on her break because she and another were behind the counter. Really unprofessional and not a good luck for the restaurant. The food was mid. Decor was nice but overall the experience I am not impressed. It's my father's 67th birthday, and we decided to celebrate it at Paolito's from the Kitchen of STK Ta Bai, located at SM Seaside Skypark. We were a large group of 12, and as we were deciding what to order, we called for a server. A gentleman named Francis came to take our order, and I must say, he was incredibly polite and professional in his communication.

Francis excelled in upselling, suggesting the best sellers on the menu, and we were thrilled with the dishes he recommended. My entire family loved the food, and we are truly grateful for the exceptional service we received.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to the entire team, from the kitchen crew to the serving staff, especially Francis, who took care of our table from the moment we sat down until we left the restaurant. Kudos to the whole team and the management for hiring such dedicated individuals.
