Pueblo Mexicano — Restaurant in Cebu City

I believe in only leaving a review if something was amazing or bad, in this case, a bit of both. Without doubt, the food was amazing, out of beef but the chicken was excellent. Everything was delicious, very well cooked and flavored. Odd service however, ordered premium drinks but was never offered water or chips and salsa; 52 years of eating Mexican food all over the world; never seen a Mexican restaurant that didn’t great you with water and chips and salsa. The place expresses the Mexican Ambiance. It was dinner when I visited and the place seems dimly-lit than I expected for a restaurant, but anyway, it's kinda romantic then. The staff is attentive to the orders but wait time takes longer than expected. I had to wait for 20 mins for the burritos and salmon dish. Also, the portions are in considerably small for a price of almost a thousand for only 2 dishes and a drink. I have second thoughts coming back here.

Pueblo was the favorite to go for margaritas and fish tacos. Today I went to ordered fish taco after two years. I am disappointed as it taste so different than the previous. No salsa not even cilantro and they put only slice of lettuce and some tomatoes. The sauce is really not that great and the fish is dry . Ok maybe they change chef who knows.
