Sunburst Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Cebu City

We celebrated Father’s Day at Sunburst Restaurant in Robinsons Galleria, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food was absolutely delicious—classic, comforting Filipino-style fried chicken with a crispy golden skin and juicy meat inside. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried a few side dishes and everything was cooked well, served hot, and seasoned just right. The portions were generous, making it a good value for the price. What made the experience even better was the ambiance. The place was clean, well-lit, and not crowded at all, which made it perfect for a relaxed family celebration. This place has been a Cebu Favorite even before I move to the U.S, and I came to visit to see if it brings back food nostalgia. This used to be just a chicken place, I don’t know when, but they have expanded their menu to include Filipino favorite dishes. With regards to the chicken, I don’t see anything special about it. It is Filipino style fried and it taste like the ones we cook at home, and they are small.. Maybe I am used to the large, juicy and tasty Popeye’s, Brown’s or KFC chicken in the U.S. But I have to give kudos to their longevity. The restaurant we went to was at the Galleria mall veranda. Their service was unexpectedly bad.

There were only around 3 or 4 occupied tables when we dined here. However, the service of the food was really delayed. Additionally, the food wasnt hot anymore - it looked like it had been cooked for quite some time but they didnt serve it while it was hot for some reason.

We complained it to the waiter but the waiter just basically snobbed us - "Of course food gets cold because it was on stand by for some time" , this was basically his reply. Our request for our bill even took 10 minutes.
