Relaxed atmosphere, i will start my review by saying i enjoyed and ate all my food... BUT... My Carbonara was described as being served with garlic bread, as you can see in the photo, it csme with two stale half slices of cheap supermarket packet bread. The carbonara was Philippine Carbonara, cream, no parmesan and no eggs (basically a creamy mushroom sauce). If it had any cheese maybe it was that processed eden plastic stuff? Anyway, same with the cesar salad - croutons were the same supermarket stale bread, salad cream (not cesar sauce) and no parmesan... Salad arrived 20minutes after our mains. Tuna steak was really nice, i recommend that. Crispy bicol express was disappointing... I think the servers and kitchen pass needs...
Read moreTasty food and pleasant staff. Though, I have spent 3.5 months in the Philippines so far and have had many similar dishes like theirs, and unfortunately their meat/veggie portions are not satisfactory. Fried chicken didn’t have much meat (more fat/bread coating on the boneless chicken), literally 1 piece of carrot and green bean cut into 4 really small pieces and decorated into a square with a very generous portion of rice. I had to request a newly plated dish which they corrected right away as it was too disappointing. Beef tapa was dry, Bicol express not much pork.
NOTE: I attached a photo of the new dish they brought me which was a lot better...
Read moreWe had lunch at Mag'ma a few days ago, and as a first-timer, I was very disappointed.
Just look at the serving—Lechon Kawali is only 6 pieces for 320 pesos? Are you kidding me?
Dinakdakan wasn't as good as I expected. Lol.
We also ordered Kare-kare and Sinigang na Baboy, but I didn't get to take a photo because it wasn't worth it. It was mostly fat, and it didn't have as many vegetables as advertised.
As for the ambience, it was extremely hot! They said the air conditioning was broken and they were trying to fix it, but even after we finished our meal, it still wasn't fixed.
Good thing the server was nice...
