5 stars for the ambiance but 3 stars for the service.

A hidden little gem by the beach! Went on Sunday afternoon and it was packed by families and groups of friends! It was raining a little so everyone was indoors but they opened all the windows facing the beach and the breeze was really nice.

They were extremely understaffed. The waiters and bussers were friendly though. The waiter mentioned they are expecting more people coming in as it was peak hours but there were only 3 waiters attending to the whole restaurant. I asked if we could sit by the water, they said the section is closed. So we picked a seat by close to the windows and it was 6 people (there were only 2 of us) and then they decided okay we can sit by the deck. It took 10-ish minutes. We waited around 10 more minutes before they took our orders, and after ordering the waiter said: "oh, word of warning, our usual serving time is 40 to 50 minutes!" Which shocked me because where can you find a restaurant that serves food that long?! I told him, which food are quickly available and he said everything takes a long time because there's a lot of people. So i said, how about the desserts and he said okay they're available. And then he said "i'll try to request the kitchen to make it available in 20minutes" because i was with a senior citizen. "However, i cant promise it will be available by then." The horror. They ended up serving the food we ordered in 20minutes. But it took forever to give us plates and utensils and water 🤦‍♀️ so while they're very friendly, the experience wasn't pleasant.

The food was okay. We only had the buttered chicken which was typical chinese food fair. The lomi was too salty. But the buko pandan was delicious - not...

Garden Bay Restaurant has a wide array of dishes from appetizers to dessert.

They have pork, beef, chicken and fish dishes, seafood, vegetables, salads and from each category, there are varied ways of preparing and cooking them.

They have a bilao (native tray) option where differents meats/seafood are grilled (barbecue). I recommend this one if you're in a group with different meat cravings. There are two bilao options. The other one has fish.

For beverages, you can have fresh fruit juices or shakes, iced tea or soda to go with your food.

I particularly liked how the salted egg salad with fresh greens, carrots and mango strips had a dash of spiciness and sourness. The pomelo with shrimp bits was also very nicely prepared and tasted great.

The food was delicious plus there's the fresh sea breeze that whets the appetite.

It was packed with diners when we arrived and so we waited for a table to be available and while waiting for just 20 minutes to be seated, we took that time to order our food. By the time we got seated, the food was ready to be served.

They have very welcoming, accommodating and courteous staff.

For a group of 6, we had more than enough food which we got to take home as we were already very full.

Price is...

I'm so glad to do a glowing review on Garden Bay Restaurant. The establishment more than deserves 5 stars, largely because its service far exceeded expectations. The staff displayed a remarkable degree of attentiveness, playing an important role in making for a pleasant and memorable dining experience.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was crucial in making this an evening to remember. But it was all very pleasant, and everybody relaxed into a mood of enjoyment. Picturesque sea views served as background enhancements to the overall aesthetic appeal.

The sumptuous foods at Garden Bay Restaurant complemented the inviting atmosphere. The dishes were both sumptuous and served with precision, testifying to the commitment to culinary excellence. Every bite was a reflection of the chef's artistry and the restaurant's resolve to serve up an enjoyment for food lovers.

In a nutshell, Garden Bay Restaurant holds its own amongst the many dining spots as an excellent place to eat. They bring together impeccable service with cuisine that is divine and ambience enchanting. This visit clearly proved the establishment's determination to provide a memorable and enjoyable...

Food and ambience were excellent. Filipino home favorites, serenaded by live music with the cool sea breeze embracing you. If ever, you visit them on a humid day/night, they also have airconditioned dining. But if you can, go for a table by the sea side. The place was packed, but spacious enough for it to feel not crowded. Every dish we ordered was great! We particularly enjoyed the vegetable dish, Sea Pho Guisado, the most. Menu was also very comprehensible. Best sellers had 🎀, and spicy diahes had 🌶️ labels. They have a variety of dishes (apps, salads, noodles, soup, vegetables, pork, chicken, beef, seafood, and different types of fried rice). Service staff were attentive, quick and corteous. We were greeted immediately as we walked through the garden, and just as cordial to bid us farewell when we left. One of the guards was very snappy and walked us to our car and though it wasn't necessary because the lot was spacious enough, he guided me as I backed up and drove away. My companion, who was visiting from CdO even decided to go back 2 nights later together with her family. I guess she really liked it too.
