American/Western review here:
Be warned! They do NOT accept bank card payments even though they have the electronic card terminals for it! They told me that they don't have card terminals when I clearly saw 2 of them, so I offered to pay in cash instead. Then the owner wanted the exact amount for change even though I offered to pay initially with a higher bill denomination. The total amount for my bill was 310 PHP, so I offered a 500 PHP bill, but the owner was hissy-fitty about it, so I paid 400 instead. Fine. So be it.
Their English isn't that great, but the food was the better of many other Indian restaurants in Davao, so I'll give it an extra star, plus I live nearby. I've had the best back in India and the second best in the US and Australia. The local staff finally understand North Indian cuisine and some southern Indian cuisine. Maybe they were trained or taught somehow. I love how they have a sink to wash your hands too and with soap! Great hygiene item, so another star for that. There is an upstairs too, for air-conditioning rooms to eat, but I chose to stay in the bottom floor to watch the hustle and bustle go by.
Regardless, I will come back here from time to time because they do offer kulfi and their masala tea is spot...

Location: the place is ideally situated near a school where Indian students flock. The parking is limited but we always find one whenever we dine here
Place/Ambiance: the place is spacious. It’s a 2-storey resto. Their 2nd floor is airconditioned.
Price: the mutton is a bit pricey, but their chicken, veggie, and other food options are quite cheap.
Food: the food is divine! Just the right amount of spice. It is authentic since the chef and the owner are Indians. I love their mutton biryani. It’s a whole plate for one person. When I’m hungry, I can finish the whole plate. But some would say it is good enough to be shared by 2 persons. The Cheese Naan is a must try! Best paired with Butter chicken, or any sauce-based dish of your choice.
Service: their service is fast. Sometimes there’s a lot of customers but they still get to serve...
Read moreExperiencing Indian cuisine has always been a dream of mine, despite my low tolerance for spicy food. My search for Indian restaurants in Davao led me to a wide selection, one of which was Haveli King, recommended by a friend. We decided to try it out for ourselves, ordering their best-selling Biryanis, Chicken Masala, Cheese Naan, and Masala Tea. Each dish was incredibly flavorful. Despite the spice, I managed to finish my entire serving.
The prices at Haveli King are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. The staff were friendly, readily answering any questions we had. The restaurant also has an air-conditioned room upstairs, providing a comfortable dining environment. Plus, they stay open until midnight.
I highly recommend the Biryanis, particularly the Veg Biryani, and the Naans. Their quality and taste are...
