Mang Inasal — Restaurant in Davao City

Inasal is a well-known Filipino fast food chain owned by Jollibee, and you can find it almost everywhere in the Philippines — including Davao.

This place is famous for its grilled chicken, rice meals, halo-halo, and BBQ skewers. I ordered a combo meal — the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and slightly sweet. The BBQ skewer was meaty, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

The noodles were also decent — a yellow kind of Filipino-style noodle (not sure what it’s called, but it had a nice flavor). should be Pancit Palabok after some research.

Even during peak hours, the wait time wasn’t long, and there were available seats. They also offer free iced water, which was nice.

"Worst customer service I have ever encountered at Mang Inasal. The staff were completely unapproachable, unfriendly, and acted as if customers were an inconvenience rather than a priority. When I tried to ask for assistance, I was met with blank stares and dismissive attitudes. No effort was made to greet customers, provide prompt service, or even acknowledge complaints. The atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming, as though customer satisfaction didn’t matter at all. This kind of treatment is unacceptable for any business, especially one that serves food and relies on customer loyalty. I walked out feeling frustrated, disrespected, and determined never to return.

When I requested unlimited rice, they only added one and I was advised to finish the small portion of the rice left on my plate but when I ask for more it took too long to comeback to give another portion of rice, even when requested many times.
