Upon stumbling to a post on their Tiktok page, I have sent these to my friends as we've been meaning to try deep dish pizzas and as to my surprise, mayroon lang pala somewhere in downtown. After the long wait, it took us months blurting our insides jokes including, "Kanus-a pa man ta maka-Spoonful Dvo uy!". Considering some of us came from Toril, we didn't have much time to squeeze this in our schedule. At the end of our examination, we have come to decide to treat ourselves with visiting this great place.
Actually, we got lost since we are not familiar with this place and there's an error with the maps on IOS and Google, but they took this into consideration and accommodated us when we addressed this issue. Such a 10/10 customer service! It took us 2 hours in transportation from our school to Dacudao Avenue. Despite our situation, we didn't back out as we've always wanted to go here. Makabago ang panlasa ng pagkain sa masa. They didn't disappoint us at all!
Aside from the latter, the ambiance and the lights in this place are yellow lights. Hindi siya harsh sa mata so it allowed us to enjoy our food and carry on our conversation with ease in this such comfortable space.
So, indulge... Come dine with us! As we are confident you guys will love this place, the food, the environment, and the staff is all friendly. This place is great to hang out at, and to spend precious time with your barkada. With that, Spoonful Dvo is a...
Read moreWILL NOT RECOMMEND ! ! ! ! ! ! Food is NOT good. Aglio e Olio - Bland (i have to ask salt to adjust) Carbonara - Bland as well, you have to add salt to taste. Signature chicken - Not consistent, some sets are over fried, other sets are very hard, take note they are not crispy! they are hard! It do not taste like it is their signature chicken, it's just deep fried chicken, like very plain fried chicken. Chicago white - it tastes good. Chicago - is good as well.
What will disappoint you is the service staff. I noticed this one guy who is always on his phone and you have to call his attention to ask for a refill or just a simple glass of water but what he will do is to ask the red haired girl to attend us. We can see he is new or someone who is not familiar with the restaurant yet, but the management should not let him use his phone flauntly during duty hours. There is this other guy who wears sando in the dining area with dirty shoes, very casual like it's not a restaurant, very untidy to look at. The taff area is very visible where you can see the mop, trash bags, slippery when wet sign and all other things that are not good to see in a restaurant. Air-conditioning is not well ventilated, some areas are way too hot. The comfort room is not comforting lol, though it is clean but the door is broken, i mean the...

Entering the restaurant already failed to establish a good first impression; while not in disrepair, tables and chairs were not properly taken care of, the wear and tear is evident. Our table just kept sliding back and forth.
The food... oh boy, the food. None of the food looked like anything on their posters. Undercooked bacon, for one. What's more, does the kitchen not have any salt at all? Carbonara? Bland. Chicken poppers? Bland. Chicken parmigiana? Bland. No seasoning at all. Needless to say, the food remained unfinished.
Speaking of seasoning, all three dishes were sweet when they're not supposed to be. Gravy for the poppers was sweet. Tomato sauce for the parmigiana was sweet. The carbonara was sweet on top of having a plastic-like flavor. Did the cook confuse sugar for salt? Unpalatable.
Next, good service would start by first telling customers what's not available when a menu is given. We were only told when we were placing an order (ay, wala diay mi ani, wala diay mi ana). Imagine being excited to order only to have our expectations immediately shot down.
Lastly, using 1/4 sheets of pad paper as one's bill really doesn't send a...
