I recently celebrated my birthday at Amarillo, and it was nothing short of a remarkable experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the attention to detail was impressive. Everything felt thoughtfully curated and intentional.

The service was top-notch — attentive without being overbearing, with every request handled seamlessly. It’s the kind of experience where the service charge feels like a giveaway.

As for the food, their dishes were thoughtfully prepared, with each dish offering distinct, balanced flavors. Out of all we ordered, my favorites were their vongole, chorizo carbonara, and amarillo salad. The menu’s simplicity was refreshing — not overwhelming, yet still clearly showcasing their culinary expertise.

After dinner, we moved to their beautiful sunroom for drinks. Even at night, it was equally charming, providing a more relaxed and intimate vibe that made us stay until closing time.

Amarillo is the perfect spot for a special occasion or just an exceptional dining experience. A first-of-its-kind in Iloilo, I would say.

This is my third visit here with the family. Last time was dad's birthday. Food is great. Molo Soup is to die for with the rich flavour. Lengua, too! The steak bites are juicy and bouncy. The house really transformed into a wonderful place.

Just expect some odd sense of timing with which they bring the food out. Even if you indicate if you intend the dish to be your appetizer against the menu category.

For today... I just hope our server today will practice more of his critical thinking from this point on, as we paid dearly for his mistake. We've taken the excess orders home instead of turning them away as he would have probably paid for it out of his own pocket. We cannot have that on our conscience considering the bill... we'll treat it as his extra tuition for his career in the service industry.

(But seriously, dear server. If everyone else on the table has ordered their own main dish, why did you think there would be FIVE orders of Steak Au Povre instead for the last person? Please do better next time. It might not be us you flounder this with...

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at Amarillo Restaurant in General Luna, Iloilo City, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with impeccable service and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

We were a large group of around 30 people, but the staff handled everything with grace and efficiency. The food was pre-ordered, which meant there was no long wait time, and every dish that arrived at our table was simply exquisite. I was so caught up in savoring each bite that I completely forgot to take decent pictures!

From the perfectly cooked steak and salmon . The food they all served to us was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail. Amarillo truly exemplifies fine dining at its finest. While we did notice the absence of serving spoons and forks, it's completely understandable given the size of our group. It didn't detract from the overall wonderful experience.
