food is a bit on the expensive side but the serving size is decent for the price. service was good too, although there was one server who was hesitant on giving us additional hotpot sauces even though there were four of us who were dining.
best to reserve a table if visiting on peak hours.
we especially liked: beef kimbap - huge rolls and really tasty shimeji mushrom - this one was super sulit. it's priced the same as if you just bought a pack at the grocery beef and pork
we didnt like: pork wonton - had a weird aftertaste korean pancake - this was super disappointing. it was super crispy as i think it's 90% just cornstarch. chef lee and seoul korean restaurant have better tasting korean pancakes.
other notes: mango bingsu was sakto lang. beef and mushroom balls tasted too similar. just pick one. 1 order of rice is equivalent to 2 normal cups, so best to...
Read moreI recently dined at Kim Bun Hotpot and Grill, and the experience was absolutely great! The food was superb! The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the high-quality meats and vegetables. The grill were equally impressive, with well-marinated meats that sizzled to perfection.
The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always quick to refill our drinks or assist with any requests. They also assist us in grilling. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, providing excellent recommendations on menu choices.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Overall, Kim Bun Hotpot and Grill is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic meal with top-notch service. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreThey’re by Reservation but we were accommodated because we’re there before 12nn and the place isn’t busy yet. Thanks for that.
Isn’t busy yet but the service is slow versus other hotpots we’ve been to. The soup bases have been boiling for some time (and evaporated) before we received the vegetables and lastly the meats (esp pork meat which should be properly cooked).
I had almost cancelled the matcha bingsu (but didn’t coz i was really looking forward to it among other things in the menu). When i followed up with the lady manager in red (?), I didn’t like the tone of her response. You know what could have been improved? if you know that it takes 10-15mins to prepare 1 bingsu and the customer has preordered it, should have informed us so we know what to expect and should have asked for it at an earlier...
