My twin sister and I just celebrated our birthdays, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a trip to a fantastic Italian restaurant? Il Morso, nestled within the Marisson Hotel in Legazpi City, did not disappoint! It was, in a word, amazing.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and the gentle murmur of fellow diners creating a truly cozy ambiance. The staff was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel like welcome guests in their Italian oasis. A special shout-out to Henry, who went above and beyond by surprising us with a delicious birthday cake! It was such a sweet gesture that truly made the evening even more special.

Now, onto the star of the show: the food! We shared several dishes. The lasagna was a must-try - layers of melt-in-your-mouth pasta sheets, rich and savory Bolognese sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese, pure comfort food heaven. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was a delightful balance of fresh greens, tender chicken, and a perfectly tangy dressing. And if you like a bit of spice, the spicy chicken wings is a must-order. The crispy skin and flavorful marinade had our taste buds singing!

This is the lowest food establishment that I have ever rated. Valentine's day, we don't wanna dine during the evening and my partner and I just want to have tea and chill, we would like to order their "Afternoon Tea" but it wasn't available, the burgers were also unavailable, their menu with Truffles were also unavailable, and their charcuterie platter again, unavailable. We never really had a plan B menu since we just really wanna have an afternoon date, so we wanna order tea and pastries, when we asked if we could get the charcuterie platter it was also not available. Their truffle pizza was a must try, I was able to eat their truffle pizza way bag 2020/21 but it was also not available.

The waiter took so long to get our order, only one person was attending 3 tables. It took them for at least 30 minutes tops to accommodate us. On top of that, the wait for the order also took another 30 mins. Imagine we arrived at 3pm just to get our order at around 4pm.

We just tryna be polite and did not leave the establishment even knowing that half of their menu was not available. If we should've known how poor their service was, we could've dined in at Cesar's instead.

What we ordered might be cheap around 800php. However, it's still a waste of money with that poor service...

During our recent visit to the restaurant, we had the pleasure of sampling several dishes, the U.S. ribeye steak, seared scallops with green peas and hollandaise sauce, and the clam chowder soup.

The U.S. ribeye steak was executed to an exceptional standard, exhibiting a perfect balance of tenderness, juiciness, and robust flavor. It was clear that both the quality of the beef and the chef’s expertise played integral roles in achieving such a result. The seared scallops were equally commendable — flawlessly cooked with a delicate, golden crust, and harmoniously paired with fresh green peas and a luxuriously smooth hollandaise sauce. The clam chowder soup was rich and well-rounded, with a satisfying creaminess and a generous amount of clams, offering a comforting yet refined start to the meal.

However, it is worth noting that the burger patty we sampled was markedly over-seasoned. While the texture and doneness were on point, the excessive saltiness somewhat detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish.

In conclusion, despite the minor shortcoming, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The culinary standards demonstrated throughout the meal were impressive, and we would not hesitate to return to explore more of the...
