One of our friends ordered samgyup (she's in separate table because we ordered chicken wings). We wonder why her excitement in eating die down after cooking all the meat and started eating. She said the meat is too salty. We even tried to console her that maybe it will not be salty once she had the side dishes but she still says it is too salty for even with the side dishes and since we got curious we taste a small piece. And even with that small piece we cannot take it. So we told the staff about it but they just shrugg it off saying it is not like that before and still did nothing. 🙄🤨 My friend continued to eat cause she doesn't want to waste food (while drinking each time) but guess what the side dish that is supposed to be a sweetened banana taste like sour banana. 🙃
I will not say anything about the chicken cause it is really delicious swear but I really felt bad to my friend's experience.
Another thing is that when we are already about to pay the bill, we are surprised by the service charge. We were not informed about the service charge of 6% of every order made until we received the bill. What if we only have the exact amount? Should we not be informed firsthand? And even after paying the bill, the staff came to us and said our payment was insufficient, when in fact our friend went to the cashier herself and even confirmed that the payment was already good. It is embarrassing to be approached like that at our table with the eyes of other customers when they inform our friend, who herself went to the cashier and was made aware that the bill was already...
Read moreWe ordered unlimited Chicken Wings with inclusions of unlimited pasta, fries, and rice. Service overall is quite poor. When they start taking orders, it is as if they are in a rush and tend to forget some things that have actually been ordered. On top of that, you have to wait a really long time to be served (oftentimes having to follow up due to them forgetting about your order). What threw it off for me is after our first order of pasta, we were told that their spaghetti was no longer available and several minutes after, saw them serve another table multiple platters of spaghetti. Upon confronting them about it, we then were told that it was actually available and only then did they serve us another platter of spaghetti. When we ordered what was supposed to be our last platter of wings, we were advised it would take up to 25 minutes. After waiting for more than the expected time, we followed up and were told again that it was no longer available. Basically made us wait for nothing. We decided it was just time to go and ended up just leaving. Not even sure how the staff are communicating with each other...
Read moreI went here with 5 of my friends. Meat was kinda bland but passable for the price. We noticed that the serving of uncooked meat was unusually big. One serving of plain pork and beef was almost half a kilo each. We assumed it's okay since we didn't cook everything.
The problem happened after we wanted to bill out. They suddenly asked to weight the left over meat and charge 2 pesos per gram. Our initial leftover uncooked meat ended up costing 1k! No wonder their serving was so big.
We ended up eating 200 grams but wasn't able to finish the other 300 grams so we ended up paying 600php more than our bill. This is the first time I experienced this in any sangyup restaurant.
We felt scammed. At least they should've warned us about the rules regarding the uncooked meat as 2php per grams is way too expensive. Everything felt suspiciously planned out. And by the way, the service was really slow. Never coming back here again.
I am writing this review to warn people about ordering too much uncooked meat from this place as they might get...
