Goldilocks - Shaw Blvd. — Restaurant in Mandaluyong

We only had after-dinner halo-halo here, so that’s the only product I’m reviewing.

I think Razon’s version of halo-halo is still superior despite having much fewer ingredients/toppings, but Goldilocks’ version, which is your typical halo-halo that has loads of ingredients/toppings (buko, gulaman, leche flan, caramelized jack fruit, garbanzos, rice crispies, sweetened banana, sweetened beans, nata de coco, and ube ice cream) is also quite good. The ice is very fine, which makes eating the halo-halo a much more enjoyable experience.

The restaurant itself is quite nice. The white/yellow interiors are pleasant to the eyes. Inside, it’s immaculately clean — compared to other fastfood restaurants like Jollibee, McDonald’s, and Chowking (which is the least clean/hygienic in my opinion), Goldilocks, or at least this branch on Shaw Boulevard, is well-maintained. Kudos to the staff for that.

As for the staff, they’re not at all rude or anything, but they’re not exactly warm or friendly. I even dare say they’re dry and lack enthusiasm. Nevertheless, they’re efficient at their jobs, so I guess it’s fine.

Goldilocks is a pioneer in cakes and bakery products in the Philippines.

An afternoon yummy snack of ‘Lumpiang Sariwa, Arroz Caldo’ and Buko Pandan’ is very refreshing. Best seller Classic Halo-Halo is back in their menu which I strongly recommends especially this summer. Parking can be a problem. But I did drop by on Mothers Day. I just picked up some cakes. Service was quick. Lots of folks don't seem to realize the concept of a line so there's crowding and jostling at the cashier.
