Was very newly renovated when I visited. Great interior design & superb materials BUT with little thought for the customer! 🤔😡😵 The afternoon sun went straight to the customers' faces & heads, you'd need to wear sunglasses! And if you happen to sit facing the full glass walls, your view will be blocked by people on their high tables & stools! Instead of you seeing the pocket garden outside, your eye level wiIl be the high chair seats. Sucks.
The long couches area - where you can supposedly work because the hard to reach electric outlets are there - is crowded. It now has become almost impossible to conduct your usual business meetings.
I personally prefer the old design w/c capitalized on the surroundings & was highly functional. I miss that old Starbucks 515 Shaw - the huge table in the center and many round tables & single sofas around.😟 (Good thing there's a neighboring coffee shop w/ a much more easy, relaxing, work & meeting-conducive vibe.) 😉
I certainly still love those barristas. So kind, efficient & accommodating. Oh... & the coffee...
Read moreI have got my black tumbler at last in this branch as I have been waiting for this since last week since it was out of stock for a long, long time. The dark mocha frap was very chocolatey as the barista was generous with amount of the chocolate sprinkles and whipped cream which I love immensely. The staff are courteous, friendly, and respectful. Pre-pandemic my work colleagues and I would often stay here until closing time as the ambiance and the vibe of the place was very conducive for socializing after a dinner or a preshift meeting place before working the night shift. Certainly the place has a lot to offer in terms of health and safety in the midst of the pandemic. I would certainly recommend this place 💯. Kudos to the all the staff and I do hope you still prosper despite the difficulties we all face every day. Stay safe and be positive...

Also grateful that this branch is open late nights.❤ Although about 2 days ago (at 11:30PM) I noticed something which surprised me. I understand it really is quite a challenge to be environmentally that's why when establishments like SB promote reusable tumblers, paper straws, trash segregration -I somehow take part. However, as I was disposing paper materials from my purchase (to those trash bins with labeled circular opening for papers, non-biodegradable, etc.) prior to driving, I caught sight that inside they place only 1 large clear plastic bag only which doesn't make sense for encouraging costumers to segregate. Quite a light bulb for me...
