Blake's Wings & Steaks - Marikina — Restaurant in Marikina

Good thing LRT line 2 Marikina-Pasig Station opened! Had to try this as my first Marikina food trip.

Place was good (neat and orderly), but small, but really good. Mid-ranged food. First things first, not sure if I should've tried their place specialty, which was ribs and wings, but I didn't since I was alone.

I ordered Porterhouse steak and the Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie. Porterhouse steak was ok. A bit hard despite being medium. Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie "ala mode" was superb! I was alone so it was a lot for me. Almost had food coma on the spot 😅 [see pictures]

Going back, as a solo customer I'd suggest:

Solo 6pcs of wings in the appetizer section (availability) (instead of being in a meal with rice) - this will give me opportunity to try it or have it as an add on.

+1 server upstairs. I noticed the delay of billing out/ cleaning up tables which will affect customer turnover.

Option to replace Java rice to Mashed potato in the 'solo' category. I felt that rice was too heavy for me. I've considered having a "Main + appetizer". Instead, i had "steak + dessert" combo.

And yeah, i noticed that there are almost none-few refreshing dessert. I'd love to have that . They had the iced tea-lemonade combo, but if the theme is American, they could add a sundae or a more ice cream focused dessert. Or shakes (fruit/milk) would be good as well.

So summary: Place / ambience: 4.8 / 5 (because of the small space) Food / value: 4.5 / 5 (considering mid range price range, and variety) Service: 4.2 / 5 (friendly staff, but minor inconvenience due to manpower, or maybe system)

Overall, I'd go here for better occasions due to price and accessibility. But will definitely come back with a friend or +1 so I can try...

We ate at Blake's in Marikina on Friday with our co parents because we celebrate our children's achievements. It's my first time to dine at Blake's but I'm very satisfied with the food and especially with Peter's service he is so attentive and also super professional as a waiter he is giving us an excellent service and the type even if you don't ask for what you need at the table he will give it to you right away, he knows what we are missing and he will always update us. I think he was given a tip by my Co-Parent and it seems that she availed the loyalty card and Peter was also the one who suggested it, and it seems that Peter is always their waiter because she already knew Peter next time when we go back even though she is not with me I think we can also avail a loyalty card because the food is delicious and of course Peter's...

Hi Blakes Wings ang Steaks Marikina, I would like to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to your team, especially with our servers Tinay and Zen for giving us exceptional customer service during our dine in last January 4,2025. We dropped off at St Anthony Hospital to get ourselves checked and would want to have a nice lunch afterwards and their service did not disappoint. We were greeted by Tinay with a smile and immediately assisted us to our seats. I was craving for the Carbonara and Buffalo Wings and it was served to me perfectly as I expected + the store's ambiance was very calming and relaxing too 💯 Good job to your company in hiring these kind of employees where every customer feels valued and respected.
