Lula's House of Kare-kare — Restaurant in Marikina

We ordered Original and Bagnet Kare-kare, Sisig, Lumpiang shanghai, Pancit canton, Chicharon bulaklak and rice. I have high standards for kare-kare because my father makes the best kare-kare! Theirs is good and its better compared to most kare kare I tried in different restaurants. Aug 12, 2023 is our third visit, we are the first customer. I invited some relatives to show how good the food. Unfortunately, the taste of the food changed…especially the Pinakbet and Crispy Pata. The Cook is also the one serving. They used to be organized and food is fantastic. There is really something changed….maybe the Cook and crews are not enough?

The place lives up to its name. It really is a house of kare-kare. This was the first time I enjoyed kare-kare without reservations (I used to find having peanut butter in my ulam weird). It was delicious.

We also ordered the rellenong bangus (slice). It was also good. And the portion was huge for a “slice” (looked like half of the bangus).
