Very reasonably priced and authentic Japanese food. Quick service as well. I heard the chef is Japanese so it's legit.
Tonkotsu shoyu Ramen - added egg and chashu for just 20pesos each. The broth is quite thick and soy-based (not milky white like other shoyu), very rich and porky taste! Loved the consistency of the noodles, and the chashu was very soft and porky. For 178 this is very worth it.
Fish fillet - served with salad and tonkatsu sauce. This is OK, 5 small pieces. I like my fish fillet with tartar sauce and light breading though.
Kani salad - cabbage with some Kani and carrots. Tastes delicious especially with the sauce
Takoyaki overload - real tako chunks (not the cheap ones you get from other tako places). The takoyaki is fluffy, although the sauce can be improved (not my taste) but still yummy.
Overall, will definitely come back when I can. Will try others but the Ramen is definitely worth...
Read moreFirst time back here after the pandemic. Food is still great, although parang lumiit yung portion size. Understandable naman dahil nagmahal talaga lahat. Sulit pa rin.
I had the beef rice bowl with egg. What I like about their take on it is it's not overly seasoned like how most Filipinized versions do it na parang tapa na sya. You can taste the ginger, the beef. It's slightly sweet.

It doesn't look filled pero ang totoo, packed talaga yung meat sa loob. Masarap din yung pagkaka season, you can really taste the juiciness of the meat.
Only complaint was there was hair sticking to the maki. Hindi na namin nireklamo kasi we don't want food waste and it's just hair. But I imagine some people won't be...
Read moreI ate here for more than a week straight -getting the same two things every visit - and not once did I feel tired of the flavors and serving size. It is always delicious and filling. The price is also a huge bonus because I can order more in case my fatass is still hungry after a bowl of ramen and katsudon. To clarify, the serving size is not small. Its the same size as you get in other restos. Minamiya's prices just entice me to order more.
The service is also good. Im usually here when theres not a lot of people so I get my food fairly quickly without losing any of its quality. During the few times that they were packed with customers, the service was still consistent and the wait wasn't too long.
I'll be back again in a day or two. Or, actually,...
