Hops and Brews Beer Garden — Restaurant in Olongapo

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hops and Brews Beer Garden a family-friendly restaurant in Brgy Barretto, Olongapo City, Zambales and I have to say, it completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who is not particularly fond of restaurants that serve alcoholic drinks, I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem.

The ambiance was cozy and had a great combination of rustic feels with a modern touch. The moment I walked in, I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. The décor was tasteful and inviting, and the outdoor seating area was perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather.

One of the highlights of the evening was the food. The staff had prepared some seafood dishes for us, and the Grilled mahi mahi with buttered vegetables and baked potato was my personal favorite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was the perfect dish to pair with their refreshing Mango Shake.

What really impressed me, however, was the fact that this beer garden is family-friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's a great place for people of all ages. The staff were all courteous and friendly, and they went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Overall, I would highly recommend this beer garden to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Even if you're not particularly fond of restaurants that serve alcoholic drinks, this place is definitely worth checking out. Was highly recommended by friends so we stopped in on a Thursday night. We placed our order and I should have been on alert when the waitress brought the wrong drink order, a pineapple shake instead of a banana shake. That was fixed right away. After an hour of waiting and watching other tables get the food and listening to the waitress say “it’ll be right out” my dinner partner found another waitress to find out what was going on. The original waitress hadn’t even put the order in. Instead of paying for our drinks and leaving then we waited. At the 90 minute mark one meal came out and the waitress said the other meal was being cooked then. At that point enough was enough, we got the meal that came out to go, paid for it and the drinks and left. Terrible service will definitely kill a restaurant and the fact no one was concerned or even apologetic definitely left a bitter taste…. Definitely...

It's time to rewrite my review here after one year of going in and out. Left a 5-star review last year and I will rate the same!

Honestly I still can't believe this place is not jam packed!

I always loved this place, they have a wide variety of wines and other booze you can think of! I think this is the only place in Barretto that does this, for a person like me who is picky with drinks, they do a pretty great job.

They serve amazing food like pizza and kinds of pasta, steaks, and soups, and many more.. way different from last year which is better.

They play live band, I asked the server.. usually they play on Sunday and Friday? Not sure, they are also in Grab, but since this place is 5 minutes away from my house, I'd rather walk there and enjoy the place.

They have a pool and darts, they also have Jenga to kill time and enjoy playing while waiting for your food...
