From the moment we stepped in the restaurant, everything just felt off. Most staff were not the least accommodating and the pregnant lady who takes orders doesnt even smile. The reason why we still pushed through eating here was because of my experience in the past, back when this place was still small. I still remember the mashed potato and it was the best mashed potato I ever tasted plus, we were famished.
So, we ignored the Ate and the staff. We ordered the hyped world's biggest tacos, mashed potato, a complete meal for my daughter and another meal for my mom. We also ignored the fact that the completed meal costed 450.
The food came after waiting for an hour or so. It looked promising, except for the complete meal (porkchop looked so dry), the mashed potatoes looked like it drowned not in butter but in cheap margarine. So I took a spoonful, and I was really disappointed. I had high hopes for it. It didnt even taste like potatoes, it tasted unnatural. The gravy was gross. The taco meat, didnt taste like taco meat. The porkchop was dry, the pinakbet was laughable. The only thing that I was happy about, was the size of the taco. That was it!
They also had the nerve to add a service charge. The service was so bad and they serve slow.
IT WAS REALLY A DISAPPOINTING AND DISHEARTENING EXPERIENCE. The price we paid was the same price as 2 SNR pizzas, chicken pesto pasta and clam chowder. What a...
Read moreFinally came back here after almost 7 years, and the place has changed a lot. Dining space is now bigger, and they also offer an al fresco option if you prefer eating outside.
The food has hardly changed though - still the same jumbo tacos with a ton of beef, although the prices have gone up (I think they served them jumbo tacos at about 70 pesos when we first ate here back in 2006). At 160 pesos for probably the biggest taco (with homemade sour cream, by the way) you'll ever see in the country, they offer incredible value, and make this place a must-visit for any traveler taking this northward route.
I'll update this review once we get to stay at their hotel. A solid recommendation if you're in...
Read moreThe place during our first ever visit was somewhat humid. You'll not feel comfortable when eating. The food is not good and a bit pricey, (feels like we did not get what our penny deserves huh). Frozen Iced Tea is too sweet as in, chicken fillet is bland and the fried bangus that we ordered is too salty. That's why I rated it 2 stars. They need to improve the taste of their food in order to thrive in their business. Who would want to eat salty foods in the first place? I approached the server and told her my feedback about the food that they served to us. Hoping that they will take it as constructive criticsm and a room for improvement if they want to...
