Restaurant Review: A Delightful First Time at Pappa G!

For my husband’s birthday, we decided to try Pappa G after it was highly recommended in a group for a potential business collaboration. The photos on their page immediately caught my attention, and I was eager to see if the food was as good as it looked.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating. They even accomodated my request for setting up a special space with balloons to surprise my husband! What truly amazed me was the quality, quantity, and affordability of the food.

Since we’re new here, we usually ask the staff for recommendations, and Ms. Raine did not disappoint! If you love adventurous flavors, this is the place to be!

The Ultimate Food Adventure Pani Puri – A Burst of Flavor in Every Bite! This was our first time trying Pani Puri, and oh, what a delight it was! The experience itself is fun—you take a crispy, hollow puri, fill it with the flavorful stuffing, and then pour the spiced, tangy tamarind water inside before popping it whole into your mouth. The result? An explosion of flavors and textures—crunchy, spicy, sour, and refreshing all at once! It’s a must-try for anyone looking to excite their taste buds.

Beef Biryani & Butter Chicken with Paratha – The Perfect Pair! For the mains, we went with Beef Biryani and Buttered Chicken with Paratha—and let me tell you, it was a match made in food heaven! The biryani was perfectly spiced, with tender beef and aromatic rice that had just the right amount of heat and depth. But the real star? The Butter Chicken!

The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and packed with bold flavors—a silky, buttery tomato-based sauce that coated tender, juicy pieces of chicken. Pair that with flaky, soft, and slightly crispy paratha, and you have a dish that’s pure comfort food. Every bite had just the right balance of creaminess, spice, and warmth, making it an absolute must-order.

Gulab Jamun – A Warm, Sweet Surprise! For dessert, we had Gulab Jamun, and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived warm. The moment I took a bite, the soft, spongy dumpling soaked in fragrant syrup just melted in my mouth. It was sweet but not overwhelming, making it the perfect ending to a hearty meal.

Final Thoughts Pappa G is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience! From their incredible hospitality to their authentic flavors and generous portions, everything about our visit was a delight. Whether you're looking for a new culinary adventure or a great place to celebrate special moments, Pappa G is a must-try!

We’ll definitely be coming...

I frequently seek out Indian food. I first tried Pappa G's when I saw them on Facebook and ordered their chicken biryani via Grab.

For those seeking out the best Indian food, this is the place to go. Because out of all the Indian restaurants I've tried, and having tried many of Pappa G's dishes at this point, I can say without a doubt, that Pappa G's has the best and the most authentic Indian food that I have ever eaten. The fragrant rice, the savory curries. I rank Pappa G's as one of my favorite restaurants of all time! The food is simply so good!

I also love how everything here is very affordable and the serving size is very good. I find that this makes the food very accessible to anyone who wants to try very good food, whether you are in a group and want to share, or a solo foodie who wants to get full!

Staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive! I remember when I first went there to dine in, it was Ate Bing who handled my orders. She was very nice and very knowledgeable about the food in the restaurant and what to try.

I was also able to talk with Pappa G himself one time! He patiently answered all the questions I had about the restaurant, the food, everything.

I highly recommend everyone to dine in at Pappa G's! Their dine-in menu has some dine-in exclusive items which can't be found on Grab! The atmosphere is very homey and it complements the food you will be eating there. There are also enough tables and chairs for groups to dine in.

Do try Pappa G's butter chicken! It's the dish to try when here!

I definitely will be coming back to Pappa G's as soon as I return to BF! Looking forward to...

We had high hopes considering others' reviews, but turned out to be quite a frustrating and disappointing experience.

We called ahead to place an order for pick up. They said it would be ready in 20mins, but since we were still on the road, we said we'd be there in 40mins. We got there earlier than expected, so we expected a wait, but we were there for so long -- all in all, the time between our call and when the food was ready was over an hour.

We asked to pay while waiting, but was ignored. I guess they wanted us to wait until the food was ready. When the food was finally ready, I watched as they fumbled about trying to get their printer to work. After several minutes of watching them troubleshoot, they finally managed to print and give me my total.

I handed them my credit card, but now they couldn't get their terminal to work. They restarted a few times, so I offered to pay with GCash instead. They fetched the QR code, but this turned out invalid.

Finally I gave up and just decided to pay cash, which I thankfully had some on me today.

Food itself was okay. We asked them to make everything mildly spicy only, but several dishes were too spicy. I don't think they accommodated our request.

Serving sizes were okay, except for the beef curry which was way too small.

Overall -- would not recommend due to horrendous service, inconvenient payment experience, and mid...

Dined in this resto last week. One word: LEGIT! My sons and I love indian food, and we know what real indian food taste. Theirs is the real thing, the resto owner/chef is indian so what do we expect right :) Also I am soooo happy that they do not adjust the level of spicy-ness to Filipino level (our fave indian resto in Makati/Pasay unfortunately does that) coz it looses it's authenticity. I love the paneer masala. My sons loved the butter chicken and chicken biryani. First time to order pani puri, it was really cool (esp that tamarind syrup). And their paratha is awesome. And best of all, the price is reasonable (vs that of our fave Makati/Pasay indian resto)! I think this will become one of our fave restos here in South Metro.🧡 One important thing: the resto is NOT a fast food, they cook from scratch. So dont go there when you are suuuuper hungry, it takes 30+minutes waiting before they serve the food, I think depends on how many customers they have (there were four families when we dined there) and dishes ordered.

The staff here are really nice and friendly. They know the dishes well and can help you decide on what you think you'll like better. Pani Puri - Pani puri is okay and the sauce is also nice. Not too strong but flavorful. Chai Masala Tea - This is so gooood! So much better than high end coffee shops offering this tea and the price is affordable compared to those. This is one of the drinks that you'll crave for Paratha- First time to try this and I want to eat it everyday. So buttery and it tastes so good especially when paired with their dishes. Beef Biryani and Beef Curry- Serving is big! We loved these. The beef is tender and flavorful. the best! Will try their chicken dishes next. Rasgulla- this is sweet and milky. I liked this one too. I want to try their Gulab Jamun next. Parking space and free wifi. Everything was great and our experience here is nice from service to food. The staff are really welcoming and accomodating. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
