Rico's Lechon - Tiendesitas — Restaurant in Pasig

Last night of December 19, 2019 when I invited my special someone to have a dinner in this restaurant located at SM North Edsa. Our experience is not that good that I will not recommend this restaurant to others to give it a try to eat here.. Why?? First, the service that we experience is horrible.. We waited for the food to be serve more than 15 mins as the server have had promised. And then the lechon finally came in on our table. We are so pleased to taste it right away and we both took a piece of it and ate it. So, we got hungry then when for another 10mins the chopsuey served in.. I did not expect that for the price of 280php I just got bunch of cabbage and not as fresh as newly cook chopsuey. What my point here is, the price of an order of this menu is not worth it.. And the serving is also not enought for a single person to be satisfied. And the ingrediets it self is not really that chopsuey you will come to think with your mind. So we waited for 15mins for the lechon and another 10mins for the chopsuey but where is the platter garlic rice we order???!! As we're patiently waiting for another 10 to 15 mins for the rice as the managers of the restaurant have their meeting on the other table just near to us.. Noticed that their is something we are waiting for.. and ask one of the server about our rice.. Then the platter of garlic rice came in finally thanks to you (whoever you are) for noticing it. So, we ate finally with our lechon, chopsuey and a platter of garlic rice we order.. But waits, theres more!! Apparently, we still missing one order and that is the lupiang sariwa that I personally ask if they have them along with the other order we took from the beginning .. And guest what??.. The lumpiang sariwa came in when we are almost done to eat. Sabi ko nga sa kasama ko ippacancel kna sya dhil sa tagal nang pag serve..Pro since nag antay nrin nman kmi khit paano gusto ko rin nman tikman kung masarap.. Eh disappointed prin ako dhil yung sauce ng lumpia is kkapiranggot na malamig pa!!! Just to remind you sir/ma'am during that time hindi po matao sa restaurant nyo at weekdays po kmi kumain at 5pm plang po yun.. Pro yung service na nkuha namin sa crew nyo at at food mismo.. Hinding hindi ko maire recommend at dna ako uulit pa kumain sa branch nyo sa SM noth edsa. My point of my review is a wake up call sa manager or sa may ari na baka mas may mggawa pa kayo pra mpabilis ang pag aasikaso at magkaroon nang "sense of urgency" ang mga crew nyo at mas mpamura pa yung presyo nang mga menu nyo kung mas masarap pa yung mga tinda sa ordinaryong karinderia kumpara sa luto at ingredients nyo. Kung ako lang ang tatanungin.. Lechon lang ang pumasa sa panlasa ko.. At cgurado ako na marami pang mas mssarap na luto na meron kayo sa ibng ordinaryong kainan na mas worth it at mas mura...

Good lechon. BAD SERVICE!

A series of disappointing experiences lead to this conclusion.

November 2018 we dined for the first time at tiendesitas branch. We waited long to get seated. After gettig seated, we were asked what our order was and when we ordered lechon we were told they ran out of lechon. Wow! What do they think we were there for? The soda?

Decmber 2018 we dined in again. Before getting seated we asked if lechon is available, we were told yes. But upon getting seated we were informed it was not available. So we complained. Only after we complained did they try to get us a serving of lechon.

December 31st morning. I asked if we could pre order and pay and then pickup later, was told they dont accept pre orders. I asked if we can already line up for lechon, was told they were not open yet so i just have to come back . (Even when there were seats outside to wait) since they have many lechons available and they close at 9pm anyway so i can just come back and there will be enough . Went back in the afternoon and they refused to issue a queue number to me because they have run out of lechons to serve.

This is an example of an establishment with poorly trained employees who could not communicate well enough to set proper expectations. Very...

It was a last minute decision to have our dinner here. My daughter wanted to try this place even before it opens . It was nearing closing time so I understand that we won't be able to try the specialty of the house which was the lechon. I asked the food service attendant if the orders are for sharing and was told it was. So we ordered Chicken Binakol, Fried lumpia, Stuffed Squid. To our dismay, the chicken binakol which by the way is all breast part doesn't even come close to the true taste of binakol. Too much patis; the fried lumpia is too oily and I can't decipher what I am eating at all.Likewise the 1 pc squid which cost P440.00 was nothing special. My mistake was to order an additional viand lechon sisig hoping we'll try something better tasting. Much to our dissapointment, we can't even see nor taste the lechon because it's full of chillies. To top it all I wasted 1,900.00 for something my family did not even enjoyed. Too pricey for the kind of food they offer. My first and last to dine at this place.
