Overall, 24~27 Jan 2023 three nights. we like the hotel on site and servants are amazing, but it’s horrible management for booking and communication.
I have mistakenly booked a vila (3 bedrooms) at Daluyon for only 2 people, but I realized 3 mins later after my Agoda booking since received the booking confirmation immediately. We called Agoda and hotel immediately at the same time for cancellation 2 rooms. I know it’s my own mistake that I didn’t read refunding policy carefully. Agent agoda told us they can help on cancelling and refunding as long as hotel can approve, but after a couple days, agoda told us they couldn’t get feedback from hotel.
Then we initiated the communication with the hotel team that they would help to raise the concern to the hotel General Manager regarding to the cancellation and refund, we are deeply disappointed and frustrated regarding service and communication due to reasons below: (1) we raised the concern 10 days before the trip (right after our booking) through many calls to the hotel (more than 10x), all we got is cold reply “General Manager is on the business trip, and cannot be reached, therefore no constructive feedback. Wondering where “general manager business trip went” that couldnt be contacted or got feedback for over a week. (2) No feedback regarding to the cancellation and refund, we have to stick to staying Daluyon, when we’re there, the General Manager is still on business trip that we never get chance to talk with him directly or whether our concerns has actually reached to him. (3) we realized the transportation is not convenient from airport to hotel, 3 days before arrival at Princesa City, we have asked hotel to arrange a private van from airport to hotel on WhatsApp/email, no reply at all that made us anxious but luckily we called a taxi at airport in the end.
At the meantime, on-site experience staying at Daluyon is overall satisfied. The hotel location is perfect. The Sabang beach is amazingly beautiful and peaceful, 40 meters far to your door-feels like a private beach(also next to Underground water Wharf). We almost eat every meal in the hotel restaurant. And the restaurant is well managed with high-standard service, breakfast are quite good choices, dinner with live music. servants there are very friendly and hospitable. Receptionist are very nice and kind as well who are try to be helpful and think for client’s side, which is very appreciated. Love the people there, but just not the...
Read moreThe staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. We are very happy with their service, from their beach facilities crew, f&b, reception, bellman...everyone we met was fantastic.
They helped us with unexpected transport issues due to flight delays, our lost luggage, last minute birthday dinner, room service and requests. They were great in keeping us updated on our lost luggage issue too. They were also very responsive to our emails prior to our arrival.
They were also willing to accommodate our dietary requirements as we do not eat pork. The food in the Pawikan restaurant was also tasty with a good selection for everyone. The grilled chicken with bagoong fried rice/java rice and crispy bangus were our favorites! The Pinakbet was good too. Their brewed coffee at breakfast was pretty good. You can order a from a selection of Filipino and Western items for breakfast while there is a spread of breads, jams, cereal, etc. They also serve fruit to your table at breakfast. I believe they only have a full buffet breakfast spread when there is higher occupancy. We were still happy with the breakfast selection even though it was not a full buffet spread during our stay.
Really convenient location for the Underwater Cave tour and Zipline which are within walking distance. Far from the city (1 hour 30 mins by van) but we enjoyed the serene and quiet surroundings with the mountains behind us and the beach in front.
The sea was clear, clean and lovely to swim in. The beach is also very clean.
There are small neighborhood shops and little restaurants if you feel like venturing out for snacks/meals or personal items like slippers, toiletries, etc. We enjoyed walking along the beach even at night to get after dinner snacks.
Coast guard and police stations are just nearby.
We enjoyed their non-motorised activities (kayaks, standup paddle boards) very much and pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.
Some things in the room needed to be fixed but nothing major. Water pressure could be better. Rooms are very clean. Bed is comfortably soft, as we prefer it. Pillows are great! AC is nice and cold.
We had the grand suite and loved having our own private pool. It can comfortably sleep 6 pax. The balconies are great to enjoy the scenery and natural sounds.
Thank you for our enjoyable stay,...
Read moreNice location but that's pretty much all it has to offer. For as much as their rooms are, and the "4 star resort" they claim on their front sign, they don't do a good job at all of taking care of your needs once you're there. They charge more than double the price for the underground river tour which is literally a ten minute walk down the beach to the main area where you can book directly for much cheaper. They are also very reluctant to refer you to cheaper solutions if you think their options are overpriced. This goes for tours and transportation needs. We wanted to go to El Nido and they only suggested their private transfer which is overpriced. They didn't offer any alternatives and only acknowledged the Lexxus shuttle after we had brought it up and they still strongly discouraged it vs their own. We ended up walking to the Sheridan to ask their prices and they were much friendlier and even offered to book a much cheaper taxi for us because their private transfer was also expensive. After deciding to go with that taxi, the lady at the front desk at Daluyon was shocked that we would do such a thing, but the Daluyon left us with no other option! Aside from the overpriced services, the cleaning of our room was mediocre at best. They did a poor job of sweeping and there was still sand in various parts of the room. They didn't change the bedsheets, they only tried to make the bed neatly with the same sheets. They also didn't change one of the bath towels that was on the floor. The service at the restaurant came off as very inexperienced. The waitress spilled ice cold water on my wife's feet and she did nothing to help clean it up. Lastly, all the outlets in the room are US 2-prong equivalent...yet our room was supplied with an iron that had a UK 3-prong plug! How does that make any sense?? We ended up checking out a day early (with a strict no refund policy for the last night despite our discontent with our stay) and taking the early ride to El Nido via the Sheridan and the lady at the Daluyon wouldn't even get us a safe ride to where the taxi was picking us up so we had to walk in the middle of the night along the beach where it is poorly lit but it was fine. Next time we come back to Sabang, we'll definitely be staying at the...
