Mu Tan Food Paradise — Restaurant in Puerto Princesa

Our first time. Ordered too much.

Let's start with the spareribs noodle soup. Good taste. Carrots were a bit soggy. Rest of the veggies in it were fine. Soup was not hot. We only ordered 1 but they gave us 2. We'll get to that later. Price was great.

My wife had the Taiwain Kim-Chi; its sweet instead of spicy. Different.

Mu Tan Fried Chicken was different and tasty. I think there's nutmeg in it. Eat the chicken not the veggies in it. Hahaha.

Fried dumplings was excellent and a great price

We ate outside so we could smoke. Love that. Environment was fine Manalo is a busy street but the music was loud enough to help.

So the place does not use an independent device for their music. They are streaming, which is smart, but the music was interfered with on every song. And the volume was at different levels, often too loud for lunch. If they just get a independent device for their sound system, they will be fine. I think that's why we got 2 soups instead of one. When the waiter repeated herself, we really couldn't hear her.

This place has potential and it will be interesting to come and hang out for...

Pros: -Food tasted great!!! We ordered different items (homemade dumplings, stir fried seaweed, friend chicken, spurted sauce tofu, dried noodles, and braised pork rice). -Each dish has it's unique flavors. There's balance in each dish. -Their homemade chili sauce and the fried chicken with fried herbs was the 💣 👌 -Our server (Irish) was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and their offerings. -Serving size is just right. Reasonably priced. -Super clean restaurant and wash room.

Cons: The noodle in the dried noodles bowl was a bit overcooked. There was too much fat in the braised pork rice bowl.

My friends and I have never been to Taiwan and has zero knowledge of their food. This review is purely based on our taste preference.

The place is simple yet unusual, what makes it best the flavor of their food, it has its own taste very distinctive that allow your tongue to savor. Plus the cold beaverages a unique blend i will not describe to spoil your surprise the only thing I cold say thumbs up, simple but satisfying what tummy...
