You would never expect to find such a charming restaurant to be tucked away in one of the random streets of Quezon City, but here Comida is. It was a cozy experience and truthfully, it was one of the better dinners.
Location; Found near Sienna College, Comida is a little restaurant inside a neighborhood house and is distinguishable by its neon sign. There's plenty of parking spaces with a very wide street.
Atmosphere/Interior: There are two dining area options: outdoor and indoor. The outdoor seating area is designed like a mexican street food vibe with little stall decors and the fiesta feeling. They also have a bar where the drinks are made. It's wide and can seat a lot of people. The indoor seating area is designed a bit more like a Mexican restaurant and can seat about 5-6 tables. The entire place is decored with neon lights but not the type that distracts you.
Service: They were an amazing crew. They were attentive, observant, and quick on their feet. We were never concerned about calling for their attention because they were always ready to refill the empty water glasses, provide tissue, and served the dishes timely. Our dining experience was so smooth because the crew ensured that they wouldn't be too noisy as they passed by to serve other customers and they always stayed away from customer's view and only walked when needed. They were friendly and very polite.
Food: We ordered three dishes: Birria Tacos (P245), Burrito Bowl-Carnitas (P255), and Truffle Pasta (P230). The meal was shared between two people and it was just right. Despite the meal being heavy, they were so light to consume, it felt as though you weren't really getting full. This is only the second time we've had truffle pasta, but personally, this was the best so far. The truffle taste was just right, it was not overbearing, the pasta had a good bounce and chew, the cheesiness was delectable, and quite addicting. The Birria Tacos came with consomme and sala. My advice? Dip the tacos in those because it elevates the dish's flavors. The meat was not tough to bite through, the cheese added saltiness to the tacos, and the taco shells added texture to the meal. The Burrito bowl had me wanting more. For the prize and size of the bowl, it was very plenty. It was the most colorful dish, but also the most deceiving because you'd think that it would fill you up with all the rice, but surprisingly it was the easiest to gobble up! Squeeze in the calamansi and salsa in, you won't regret it. It adds a tangy flavor and juicy flavor to the whole dish. The nachos give it the crunchy texture and pairs well with the overall flavor.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Comida and we'll surely come back to try out the other dishes. Until...

Upon arrival, we were initially disoriented by the change of address from the old location, but the warm ambiance and inviting decor welcomed us to the new space. With only 10 tables, the setting felt intimate yet lively.
Our culinary journey began with the overload nachos, which proved to be a generous and flavorful starter. The combination of crispy tortilla chips, savory toppings, and gooey melted cheese created a satisfying appetizer that left us craving for more.
For our main course, we indulged in the beef birria, a dish that perfectly encapsulated the rich and bold flavors of Mexican cuisine. The tender beef, simmered in a fragrant broth and served with accompaniments, was a true highlight of the meal.
To complement our dining experience, we sampled some of the cocktails offered by Comida. From classic margaritas to innovative concoctions, each drink was expertly crafted and provided a refreshing balance to the spicy and savory flavors...

For improvement: Not sure if its just a busy night or it is really how they tend to their customers. When we visit for dinner, we stand at the bar/entrance waiting for someone to entertain us (ask us if we are to dine or where we want to be seated or inform us if they are full or what) but no one did. Theres just this man outside who told us that there might be a vaccant seat inside (when we are about to leave) and so we checked and sit there.
A couple of minutes have passed, several times a staff passed thru our table along the alley, no one asked if what are we having or checked if we already have a menu. We tried to call someone to ask for the menu two times.
Fast forward, we already placed our order. The food arrived at our table one at a time with 5 to 10mins interval. I just dont like the way that the Mains are served prior the appetizer. Yes, the appetizer was served after we finished our mains and we actually have to follow up...
