Booked a few days in advance to celebrate Fathers Day here—the menu looked promising and the place seemed popular. We understood it was a busy day, so we were okay with waiting a bit. But the way the food was served just felt off.
The manager (didn’t get her name) took our orders, and we had to repeat everything just to make sure it was all correct. After 30 minutes, the first dish to come out was the Peking duck—not exactly how you’d want to start a meal, especially since none of the appetizers (like the dim sum or soup) had arrived yet. The rest of the dishes came another 30 minutes later, so we were basically served in waves over an hour.
One dish, the peppercorn squid, was completely missing. We followed it up twice, and by the time we were almost done eating, we just told the manager to cancel it—we were already full and didn’t have the appetite anymore. She came back saying it was already being cooked and couldn’t be canceled. LOL! When it finally arrived, it looked (and tasted) like it was done in a rush. It was topped with raw red onions—like straight from the chopping board—and served without any sides or proper plating. It was way too salty, oily, and didn’t taste fresh at all. We asked for it to be returned, but the manager said there was nothing she could do???
What really disappointed us was how aloof the manager seemed throughout. There was no effort to apologize or even acknowledge the inconvenience (waitresses were very kind). She didn’t seem concerned about how any of the customers were feeling. In fact, we overheard another table getting visibly upset and eventually canceling their order. This manager needs some proper training.
Hopefully the management reflects on how they treat customers, because right now, even good food won’t be enough to save...

01 Welcoming of guests. We were never welcome, no staff attended to us. We were standing waiting coz the table was not yet ready, they were still cleaning.
When they gave the table, the chair and the floor were still with mess.
02 Menu presentation. There was no introduction on their menu.
03 Taking of food orders. There was no suggestive selling, the staff lacks product knowledge. We were not informed of waiting time.
04 Taking of drinks orders. We were never asked.
05 Service tea. We were not informed as to what type of tea being served. There were several drinking and smoking guests which discourages family to patronize.
06 Serving of food. No food presentation. Poor service sequence. Tastes were average except for Eel rice.
07 Dishing out. There were no changing of plates. Paper napkin and condiments. Toilet was dirty and disgusting.
08 Billing system. Long waiting time, bill was not even explained coz of discount availment.
09 Bidding goodbye. There was no eye to eye contact. They did not guide us to the exit.
Note: It was not worth...
Read moreHad a wonderful time here.. Enjoyed the food very much. I have nothing but praises even if we encountered some errors with our orders.
Detailed review below:
We had Fried Chicken where it's skin melts when you place it in your tongue and its gravy with a nutty taste.
Prawns in Walnut where the prawns are big in size and the sauce tastes so good then you add the walnut caramelized in sugar, add them together and its better than expected.
Well we ordered spinach soup but ended with a blackish soup with a lot of seafood. Surprised with the relaxing and smooth taste.
Ordered shrimp and scrambled egg but ended up with a yangchow fried rice.. Price is the same but tastes very good!
The Birthday Noodles was really good that our companion ordered another batch for take out.
Kudos to the Kitchen and the management for handling us with care..
Looking forward for another visit here. Aiming for the giant...
