Kalinaw Coffee Co. - Fairview — Restaurant in Quezon City

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a bacon & egg meal, fries, and an iced coffee for a total of ₱480. I presented my PWD ID to avail of the discount, but the staff informed me that the discount would only apply to “one” item. I was a bit confused and even joked, “Kahit ako lang ang kakain?” to which he bluntly replied, “Yes.” To my surprise, the discount applied was only ₱30—a small deduction from the total bill, despite everything being for my own consumption. On top of that, they failed to issue an official receipt for the transaction. I decided not to make a scene and proceeded with the payment.

I reached out to their official Facebook page to raise my concern. It took them a while to respond, and when they finally did, they brushed it off by saying the staff might have “unconsciously” forgotten to give me the receipt—which I let slide. But the fact that they never addressed the discount issue or offered any proper resolution was a major red flag.

Kalinaw Cafe has always been providing the best service whenever I visit this branch. The staff here are super friendly and approachable, which makes every visit feel welcoming. It’s such a nice place to hang out at night with friends—they’ve got free Wi-Fi and available outlets if you feel like getting some work done too. Actually, all their branches have this setup, which I find really convenient.

I usually drop by in the morning and I notice a lot of people working here as well—it’s quiet and cozy. Just a heads-up though, it can get a bit noisy in the afternoon since it gets packed, especially with students, but that just shows how loved the place is!

They also feature a nice lineup of local merchants, which adds a unique touch to the space. And can we talk about the mini croissants? they brought them back! Definitely a must-try when you visit any Kalinaw branch. 🥐✨:)))

This place has become one of my go-to spots in Fairview. The food is really good, and I always order their Vietnamese coffee — it's strong, flavorful, and just hits the spot every time. I usually pair it with a Revel Bar or the Double Dark Chocolate Cake (if they have it — it tends to sell out fast, and for good reason!).

The vibe here is super chill. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to, and they always make you feel welcome. Plus, their music taste? On point. It adds to the cozy, relaxed feel of the place.

If there’s one thing I’d love to see, it’s having more stock of the popular desserts — especially that chocolate cake! But overall, Kalinaw Co. is such a nice spot to hang out, work, or catch up with friends. Definitely worth...
